Helldivers 2 is fun, but everything can be unlocked within 2 weeks. Wait for the hype to go down until new enemies and gear comes out.

I can agree with that but would also raise that the things I can buy un helldivers that i can in destiny is stat armor vs purely cosmetic. Helldivers sells armor with stats that are usually better than existing armor (light versions) on a bi daily basis. Destiny definitely has an issue when it comes to the battlepass having materials on the paid side, being able to pay through passes and campaign skips on alts but there's a small slice of hope that eververse stays cosmetic, and not an inconvenience with a cash out option like warframe.

Whether one game is better or not is entirely subjective, the takeaway I think is most important is that players have [b]options[/b] as to what they want to play. Maybe it's best to leave things at that and not start a pissing contest over whose opinion is right. Edit: I should point out this isn't aimed at the OP or anyone in particular, merely a generalized statement.

You will get alot of hate for this But the mob is -blam!-, they will have a new favorite in a month I mean Destiny players should know shooting the same enemies ad nauseum gets boring eventually Helldivers 2 is the flavor of the week ,before that it was palworld I wish Sony would offer to Microsoft a deal to have it on Xbox for Halo on Playstation, because I would rather relive Chiefs adventures than invest in a glorified mobile game

Been around since D1 on and off last 7 years. Typical Forum crap. Every new game will be a Destiny killer. Been so many. But Destiny still here.

Helldivers is wayyy better than d2.Warframe currency style,new gameplay,and actually fair pricing.

D1 wasn't over monetized either. Let's talk about HD when they start needing to pay for new content.

The economy of the game actually respects the time you decide to sink into it and my fireteam is playing Helldivers over Destiny probably until FS drops. I've earned enough Super Credits to unlock the premium pass twice over and only at L18. Devs have ambitions moving forward and even though the novelty may fade in time for now it's very enjoyable.

Haven’t been playing destiny much of late , but it’s still the smoothest shooter out there and looks amazing! I’ve been playing other shooters and only dark tide felt good . Hell divers 2 look like a lot of fun but strange not to release on all platforms 🤷🏼‍♂️

I could agree with you in some ways. The earnable in-game currency of Helldivers 2 is a nice feature, but there are definitely some light “pay to win” vibes there even if you can earn the currency. On the other hand the monetized things in Destiny 2 are largely cosmetics, seasons, and dungeon keys. Destiny 2 has Bright Dust as its earnable free currency but it’s definitely not as useful as the earnable currency in Helldivers 2. I wouldn't go so far as to say one game is better than the other just yet though. If your metric for grading is only to do with the different monetization strategies of the games then I would probably agree that Helldivers 2 feels better at the moment than Destiny 2. I personally would recommend Helldivers 2 to my friends and tell them that it's worth playing, while for Destiny 2 I have actively told people not to play unless they are willing to invest a large sum of money. In my view Destiny 2 is best at the end game, where you have access to all the dungeons, raids, and exotic missions. The early game in Destiny 2 isn't good for new players anymore though. The New Light experience is garbage tier if you ask me, and earning exotics and grinding good armor is a chore that can take weeks. Helldivers 2 seems so far to be fun at every stage, even if you only have the most basic stratagems and weapons. I personally feel like Helldivers 2 is more fun as a game, but Destiny 2 was a really great game at times. Will Helldivers 2 stand the test of time? That I can not say. But if I hop into a game with my friends tonight, it’s probably not going to be Destiny 2.

No greedy monetization in Helldivers 2..... YET. It's a new game, they want early success to get player numbers up. Give it time, they'll slowly remove the ability to earn all currencies, and make some cosmetics pay only. I hope I'm wrong.

"Only" if you decide you dont want to grind? My guy are you for real? Skipping grind features in cash shops is the absolute definition of pay to win. Doesnt get much worse than that. Companies who offer "skip grind" bundles literally always make the grind in game intentionally draining, dull and excessively long to burn you out just to make you almost feel obligated to buy the skip grind passes. Same thing happened in destiny with transmog and the campaign skips. They make the most boring and trash chores to get what you want OR they give it to you instantly for $. The definition of evil. Stop playing these greedy capitalistic moves down.
