Nah. The radar should stay the way its always been. How would that possibly help new players?
Its also less info for the individual player period in a game with a constantly shifting meta that does and always will include ridiculous stuff that we never could have dreamed of in D1. D1 was so much more like Halo than Destiny 2 at this point in terms of gameplay.

So let’s make it fit the game in a way which benefits everyone. How does everyone knowing where everyone is fun for a competitive shooter? Bungie needs to reduce it.
I don't know if I should answer that question. But there is an answer to it and we don't need anymore of that kind of stuff as the answer to things.
The radar is another thing that was developed in concert and under the influence of other things so just changing that (and changing the thing that doing that would allow) would leave a bunch of other things the same and it would most likely feel weird to people. Then you have to also figure in the people that are going to be bearing the brunt of that change. Just ejecting people from the game because that's supposed to somehow make more new people play hasn't really worked out that well so far.
This game has a lot of ways to die that feel more unfair than others and just sitting them all on a certain group's plate just doesn't seem to work out very well.
