PvE nerfs need to stop

The title says it all Destiny is meant to be a power fantasy yet every time we make fun strong builds you feel the need to nerf all the fun right out of the game, why can't you just leave things as they are and improve from there, there's people saying suspend was OP well it wasn't it was a mechanic that was used well by people who knew how to play, screw PvP because thats a side tac on a game that should primarily focus on PvE and these nerfs are unjustfied simply because you cannot create any further engaging or fun mechanics you feel the need to nerf what we currently have so your new updated mechanics seem interesting how about listen to your community for a change NOONE wants to make this game a try hard hardcore fest we make the builds from the toolset sandbox you give us that gets less and less exciting or enthralling every update is it a wonder people choose not to stick around anymore?

  • Suspend was op. It worked on every champion for a long time, and it worked on a number of usually challenging enemies who were made a joke by suspend in things as high as GM and master raids. It needed to be weakened. It choked out the viability of all other subclasses in comparison. Why run anything but strand when suspend works on everything?

  • I my opinion, Bungie doesn’t know how to balance -blam!-. Strand is stupid strong but that’s what that make it fun, but 3 to 4 big deal to suspend a champion and 7 for red bars is next to useless. If Bungie actually played their own game and not just use the data the game would be better. So I propose is, make champions suspended for 7 second and red bars for 3. I believe that this would be a good compromise. Strand will be useless in a PUG groups with 3-4 seconds for champions. I will end my rant with this and I don’t care if some of you think I’m just whining or being petty. If this nerf goes though, I will be deleting all my Strand loadouts and never touching the subclass unless they make it usable. Rip my triple 100 Titan, Warlock & Hunter which I worked really hard getting the gear for. This Titan will see you all starside.

If the only build you found fun was "the enemies are fully incapable of fighting back" then that's a you problem. Why not try Stasis? Or Arc Blind? Or Void Suppression? Or a Disorienting Grenade Launcher? What separates Strand and Stasis is that Stasis Freeze is the goal of the whole kit, everything feeds into making it happen, whereas Strand Suspend is just one independent part of it; Woven Mail is the best DR in the game, Unravel is every bit as good as the much-loved Volatile, Sever is woefully underrated and Threadlings are getting a buff.

    • All I'll say is many years back in destiny 2 when they where talking about there latest dlc I forget which, one of them said they wanted us to feel like God's. Well these days I can say that ship has sailed because next season, titans will be no more then glass hammers in pve unless this next subclass is any good which I doubt, it will be a resin of one of the others unfortunately

    • These change were made because of PvE .... Power fantasy doesn't mean 1 button to wipe the enemies ...bad games like Diablo 4 does that to trick you into thinking you are powerfull Also there is different kind of power fantasy The bad one in which you are just getting more and more powerful while the enemies to stay the same and the reason you win is because your stats are out of control like most Ubisoft games and Diablo 4 And then there the good kind those that reward the players leaning and use the tools they are given in recent memory 2 games that did that was elden ring and doom eternal We are still powerful way more powerful than our enemies which is why its still a power fantasy

      Eh if they were to stop then content needs to get harder. Right now you can pretty much abuse PvE enemies in every end game activity from GM's to day one raids. Those either need to get harder or we need to be toned down, I'm fine either way 🤷‍♂️

      • It baffles me that some players really feel that suspend on strand isn’t busted in PvE. I literally can permanently suspend an entire room in a Gm by myself on my abeyant leap Titan.

          Honestly, the point that you’re making isn’t valid at all the only thing that they work on is PVE so you’re going nowhere with us. Maybe they should stop nursing PVP and actually put something into it

          Suspend is extremely strong for it's low risk/high reward output. It truly is a skeleton key for all enemies, and that isn't healthy in D2.

          • Agreed. I just deleted destiny 2 and it felt strange. After an hour it felt better. As a former Titan I got sick of the nerfs. This post deserves to be seen by Bungie

            • If you expect to be an overpowered god in any video game, then you’re delusional. Balance is very much needed. Nerfs are needed. And it looks like maxi pads for you are needed.

                • PvE was the first and final reason Suspend was nerfed. Also every other part of strand got buffed. Lol

                    • These forums hate pvp. Except for like 5% who are no life tryhards. You won't get much support. Can't wait for the pvp players to frantically look up my stats only to realize they wasted their time lol

                            • While their busy nerfing suspend, they should've been making strand and stasis work better together. Nothing more annoying than suspending a champion, then some genius freezes them with stasis. Then they drop. And the stasis freeze doesn't even last as long as the suspend would've...

                                [i]The Suspend nerf is honestly fine.[/i] The problem for [u][b]Strand Titan[/b][/u] however is that Suspend is literally all it has going for it. Nerf Suspend and the class’s viability WILL go down. And before anyone tries to counter this, please ask yourself this question: [u][i]What is Strand Titan’s roll in endgame content?[/i][/u] It’s [u]not Threadlings[/u] since that’s the Strand Warlock’s Identity. It’s [u]not Sever[/u] since Strand Hunter can Sever targets safely from farther away with their powered melee PLUS their Super can also Sever a boss as well with their Super light attack. Strand Titan COULD Sever as well but their powered melee can frequently miss their intended target AND the melee is generally not safe for bosses since they can STOMP you to death before you get in/out in time (this is especially true in GMs). You could try the new Strand aspect, but it honestly does weak damage to enemies whenever I try it out (plus Strand cooldowns are LONG in general like Stasis). The only real solution here is for Bungie to decide soon what Strand Titan’s TRUE role is for mid/endgame content, or else it’ll become untouched like Stasis Titan (lost to the wind).
