D1 Vet, A Great Relief
Let me start by saying, this is my opinion. If you have to waste your time to bash me in the comments, grow up. You don't have to agree, but you should have some decency and respect for one another.
A friend of mine convinced me to give D2 another try. I enjoyed D1, so pre-ordered the D2 collection.
I was disappointed. Didn't even finish the campaign, that's how disappointed I was.
Currently trying to gear up, so today been trying to do some crucible bounties for the powered gear, since i finished vanguard for it's gear. And man, I am not touching the PvP of this game ever again.
Every match was one sided, either we steam roll, or we get steam rolled. One sided, through and through. Every. Match.
Despite me being solo, and queueing solo, performing well solo. The Matchmaking thinks I'm a God, and been matched with sweats and premades that move in unison.
Got a bounty for clash, and behold, no clash game mode. Lul, huh? What?
Did I mention the part that I can't go beyond rank 5 because I don't have the season pass?
+Edited to add: I was told below in the comments that because I'm locked at 5, I can not obtain the armor mods locked behind the higher ranks. 😅 definitely some cash grabbing tactics there.

I'm glad my friend game shared with me, to give D2 another go around. I miss it. But MAN AM I RELIEF, I did not and am not spending more cash into this game.
Some of these quests are tedious, drawn out, and recycled from D1. Go here, kill 50 x, collect x, do it again a few more times. Etc.
Definitely feels like a total cash grab...
I could go on, but wanted to keep this fairly short.

1 답변I have never not purchased the game pass. But I dont think the game is really free to play. They structure it so that you continually need to buy 80-100 per year to have “the most fun”. Ironically they say they want new players/returning players but then put up all sorts of practical barriers. The organization called Bungie went thru massive transitions since D1 - separate from activition, get acquired by private equity, get acquired by sony. You can see the collateral damage done to the game world lots of people love. Its like bungie got married and divorced three times in 5 years and disnt think that would take a toll on the kids.

First off, focusing engrams at the HELM and using your ghost mods to get gear with stats where you want the and going after triple hundred builds. Dungeons, raids, GMs, all things that you have many opportunities to do via LFG. But you are complaining about bounties. The game itself, shooting, abilities. It’s amazing, nothing else like it. Yesterday I decided to make a skip grenade build with my hunter (shinobus vow). That’s what I did yesterday, made the build, tried it out in GMs, it’s amazing. Another time I’ll try another build on another character. There’s so much to do, other than bounties. And who cares about ranks, they’re pointless. Hope you figure out how to have fun some day.

8 답변I think live service gaming is just paying for and doing the same recycled content over and over until you yourself decide it's time to stop. Destiny, Diablo IV, CoD, etc. They all work off the same hook. Buy battle pass, force yourself to play so you "get your money's worth", get frustrated because it's a boring slog, say you won't be doing this next season, blah, blah, blah... It's not really worth all that.

3 답변I mean cod is the exact same. You will lose soo many matches and no matter how hard you try it doesn’t matter. Something is off with the matchmaking in a few of these pvp games. That said people know when they need to get good or there’s a skill issue. BUT we’re also not stupid to know when something is actually wrong with the game especially pvp.

A lot of players now thinking the best part of Destiny is when you are not actually playing…just remembering some of the better/great stuff from the past. Anyway, I’m out. No more saving humanity. There’s apparently some hard core fishing that has to be done. Just kidding. I’m not doing that. I’d rather be bored in Fallout76 than spend an hour watching a guardian fish.

Definitely feels like a total cash grab...[/quote] Yea the 'Rank' nonsense is totally Bungle trying to steer players to 'compete' with each other by outspending each other. I see High Rank and all I think is "another sucker"... Its the most useless 'stat' and irrelevant info to other members of your fireteam. At least season level had some relevance, giving other fireteam members an idea how committed players were to current season. Rank tells us nothing.

9 답변D1 definitely had much more integrity. D2 has its moments, but it just doesn’t compare in work/life balance and quality imo.

I'll tell you right now, the reason you had that pvp experience, is because casual players don't play pvp anymore. The only people you were matching with are cheaters or 400lb no lives living in their parent's basement abusing the hell out of cringe cheesy loadouts. Hell, I was a top player and still couldn't compete against the bs in pvp, so I don't play it anymore. And yeah, probably around 75% of content in this game is recycled from D1 or things we already payed for earlier in the life of D2, which they removed, and now bring back for you to pay for again. Absolute slimy scummy people at Bungie.

I am with you. My crew moved from Halo to Destiny 1 beta all the way to current D2. I can tell you D1 was 100% better! Some call outs, Scourge of the Past raid was fun (vaulted). Pretty much ALL recycled. Im going back to D1 to replay the good times. Building a new Guardian and playing from level 0

1 답변One of the worst parts of the guardian ranks is, as you said, not being able reach rank 6 without paying for the season pass. Because of that you are locked out of the good mods that are only accessible after reaching rank 6… I’ve already paid for a season pass before so it looks like I get access from then on. It seems like a strange choice.

2 답변D1 vet and Im done after final shape. I want to see it through to the end unlike most of bungies devolvement team. I owe a lot of great times, memories and friends to this game. I made it this far so I want to see the end but light and darkness saga is where my guardians die.

2 답변I think you bought and gameshared D2 just to be upset in unison with your buddy. When you play all the content at once, it's beyond better than just being drip-feed per season. Even when you wait toward the end to do season stuff, it's significantly better. Bravo Sierra.

47 답변It's funny, D1 vets have emblems or shaders to indicate that they're D1 vets, yet they always feel the need to remind everybody verbally that they're D1 vets and preface their forums posts with it.
