No, this isn’t one of those “Bungie you just lost another supporter!” type of post, hear me out.
I’ve been playing D2 since Y1, I was originally 12-13 I believe and ever since I’ve played every expansion, raid, dungeon, season, etc.
I give this game a harsh time, but in reality I’ve never played another like it. I’ve had some amazing moments and met some amazing people, but lately I’ve been thinking about quitting after The Final Shape.
No, I haven’t lost my enjoyment of playing the game. In reality though, I think it would good be a good place to finish off specially with the Light and Dark saga ending.
I’m getting older, almost an adult now you could say. I have responsibilities and I just don’t have that much time anymore, but I’ll always appreciate the joy and excitement I had while playing.

A bit late to the party on this, but I'm done. I have about 3-4k hours on my clock, but lost all of my of progress because I failed to switch to steam back then, that's on me. Then I started again, bought everything again, grinded again, all with three characters, And I was sp pumped when Witch Queen became an amazing extension. And after that it was all just super super meh. Then Lightfall came, and honestly, it's an absolute kick in the face, as is season 21. I might check back on the coming season since I payed for the annual pass, but I just don't see the point anymore. It's a blatant cash grab, the fun is gone with the constant nerfs, the downtimes are a joke and honestly, if you weren't sure about what to think of the game, just marvel at the fun new activity: fishing. press E. Press E. Press E. That, in addition to what others have said. I loved this game so much, but it's not what it used to be.

4 답변I "quit" in Sept 22 when I started a Master's degree & because I wanted to take a bit of.a break. Kept up with all the updates on here as well as Reddit & while I do miss playing with a few guys from my clan, I don't think I'm missing out on too much outside of story beats. I'm a 4-5k hour player. Spent time grinding Master Wellspring, Dares & other things for Deepsight weapons between WQ & LF and I just got so burned out. My master's has helped me realise that Destiny's value proposition, at least for me, is just not there any more. Reskinned weapons & most importantly, reprised raids such as Wrath are poor excuses for 'content' & don't have significant staying power.

I think at the moment Destiny is getting worse and worse in terms of the fun factor. No matter what power level you have, you get your -blam!- ripped open in the high-end activities. What used to be artificially complicated with champions is now covered up with a ridiculous number of opponents. For example, the new dungeon. I really like the setting and the story behind it. But the fact that you can't walk 2 meters without having to kill an opponent and every second one of them has a moth on their butt is just weird. I've enjoyed every solo Flawless Dungeon so far, as they were challenging, but still doable solo. Even for people who aren't from another planet like certain streamers. But as long as the number of enemies and moths in the new dungeon is not drastically reduced, the new Solo Flawless Dungeon is dead for me. I think it's a shame.

1 답변DONT QUIT I QUIT LAST YEAR AND HAVE NO WAY OF GETTING ANY SERAPH WEAPONS -blam!- SUCKS BUT DONT QUIT AS SOON AS YOU QUIT BUNGIE LETS BANSHEE OR 69 XUR TO SELL SEPAPH WEAPONS

1 답변I'm quitting before final shape for a couple reasons. This game takes up too much time and I want to be free of FOMO when I play other games. I only started playing late last year, but I'm already disgusted enough by their monetization model that I'm quitting out of principle. 20 bucks for an armor set is ridiculous; this ain't a f2p game.

Quality of content. Numerous bugs of content. Cost of said bad content. My opinion of them definitely changed when they had the balls to tell their gamer corp friends “don’t overdeliver, it creates expectations”. Bungie are now the Gene Simmons of gaming, “Don’t ever put more than one hit song on an album! Stretch it out!” After I gild conq this season im out for a while.

4 답변Oh I have quit Destiny 2 entirely now. And have moved on to Diablo 4. Destiny 2 and Bungie has failed me. They don’t care about their player base and it’s shows. Frequent server downtimes, community unnecessary drama disputes, and lack of player feedback that Bungie doesn’t acknowledge or care about it anymore. Im not coming back to new season nor The Final Shape, they keep on flexing about how they have gotten ton of funding when they brought by Sony.. yeah? And where does that money going to? Not a damn server nor making good content quality. Not even development team either. Just want make things clear right now for all of you players. Asking for new engines or Destiny 3 DOESNT solve any problem we have right now! It’s doesn’t. A massive copium yet stupid one. The health of Destiny 2 has SIGNIFICANTLY declining rock bottom and i don’t think the game isn’t coming back. RIP Destiny and Bungie, my chapter with you guys are over. Farewell. 👋 -Muzan

I understand that you've been contemplating quitting Destiny 2 after The Final Shape, especially with the Light and Dark saga coming to a close. It's natural to have these thoughts, especially as we grow older and our responsibilities increase. However, I'd like to share some thoughts with you that might help reconsider your decision. Firstly, it's incredible to hear that you've been a dedicated Guardian since Year 1 and have experienced all the expansions, raids, and seasons. That speaks volumes about the impact this game has had on you. While it's true that time constraints can make it challenging to invest as much time as before, remember that Destiny 2 can still offer you enjoyable experiences in shorter play sessions. Whether it's jumping into Crucible matches, tackling strikes, or joining a Fireteam for a quick adventure, there's always something for every schedule. Moreover, Destiny 2 has a vibrant community that is constantly evolving and growing. The friendships and amazing people you've met along the way are worth cherishing. The game offers opportunities to connect with fellow Guardians, engage in activities together, and forge lasting memories. Even if you're not able to commit as much time, the connections and camaraderie you've built can continue to enrich your gaming experience. Lastly, the Light and Dark saga ending doesn't mean the end of Destiny 2 as a whole. Bungie has proven their commitment to ongoing content updates and expansions, ensuring that the game continues to evolve and surprise us. New adventures, challenges, and narratives await, and you have the chance to be part of the ongoing journey. As a fellow Guardian, I encourage you to reflect on the joy, excitement, and amazing moments you've experienced throughout your time with Destiny 2. Consider how these moments have shaped you and the impact the game has had on your life. While responsibilities may change, the essence of being a Guardian never fades. Even if you can't play as much as before, you can still find fulfillment and enjoyment within the game. Remember, Destiny 2 is not just a game; it's an ever-evolving universe that welcomes Guardians of all walks of life. Your journey as a Guardian doesn't have to end here. Embrace the changes, adapt to the new realities, and continue to find joy in the adventures that lie ahead. Eyes up, Guardian. Your light still shines bright, and there are countless adventures waiting to be embarked upon.

Seeing Marathon get all of the attention hurts beyond words as a PvP player. I love the PvE in this game, but I played a lot of it in hopes PvP would get its well-deserved attention in the future. Marathon took the wind out of my sails.

It's not that I'm thinking of quitting.. I'm just not sure what it is I'm supposed to be doing? The weekly missions take about 15 minutes - rest of the content I've done about 10 thousand times. I appreciate the dungeon, but I'm not farming that crap. Once I have the exotic, that's it. I want to play but there is nothing to chase.

They already have my money for this year, since I bought the deluxe edition. I ain't coming back for final shape. Had some time to think about it, I spend more time complaining about this game more than I do enjoy it. I'll play the rest of this year's content, but I'm out when it's time for final shape

I'm getting fed up with enemies that can one shot you all over the -blam!- place. You put in a fair amount of time just getting set up to do a GM, find a group, get various stages of the way through the NF only to die to some random bull -blam!-. The last try was one of the ascendants whose shield throw ricocheted off various bits of scenery and wiped out a spread out fireteam. So that's about 45 minutes of this -blam!- happening interspersed with finding a new team and that's my hour pretty much up. There's no point trying to start another. The game feels like a monumental waste of time more often than not and I prefered it when it was difficult with the occasional wipe due to very poor in-game choices rather than what seems to be the current 'no matter what you do, some random -blam!- will -blam!- you up'.

Been playing destiny since launch, I'm waiting to see how the final shape plays out. If it ends up being another snooze fest like light fall, then I'll be hard pressed to not think about it. If it somehow turns out like forsaken or witch queen, then I'll have more of a reason to stay.

I'm taking the first actual dedicated "break" I've ever had from D2 season 1, only getting on for story and events. I'm currently playing Zelda TotK and having alot of fun. When I return for the weekly drop of story, I'm starting to see just how hollow and repetitive the game is. Like, I've always known it and have spoke my mind many times about it, but now I've freshened my palette with an actual game, I can really see it. Bungie's constant decline in quality has gaslit their playerbase into believing that just a little bit is ok. "$12 is a good price for what you get" some might say. Well, yeah, but if you're going out to eat, would you rather pay $12 for a 3-gallon bucket of flavorless beans or for 2 actual meals? I can't say for sure if I'll be quitting after next year. If the game continues as is, yes. The only thing keeping me invested is the story that I started years ago at this point. Once that story is finished, I'll have no reason to keep playing.
