I just got booted out of a Gambit match for the 6th time in a row. The first 4 I barely loaded into the derelict area before being booted out. The 5th I got booted while still in the loading screen. The 6th I got booted while winning with Primeval. I now have a gambit suspension. And before you start blaming it on my connection, it works completely fine with other games, and has slightly above expected download/upload speed. Even got full bars.
What you should take from this is: Shut down Destiny servers for a good week, and fix every major issue there is. Completely fix the servers, and let everybody in again with zero servers of being booted multiple times in the space of 10 minutes.

It’s been acting up as well in competitive this evening; put me in a 1v3 game; flying me into games only to be returned to the menu twice; numerous games 2v2; something is playing up with the servers again that is for sure.

Comparing network performance in other games is pointless because Destiny 2 uses a unique hybrid peer-to-peer that relies on a stable connection more than fast upload/download speeds. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049496531-Network-Troubleshooting-Guide
