I remember when getting an exotic engram meant something. But with the latest changes, and how no new loot is ever added to the engrams, they have just lost their luster. I miss the old days, of seeing that yellow engram on the ground, and holding my breath to see if I was going to get something new.

The exotic engrams given out for playlist completions are there for newer/further behind players to get missing exotics. I don’t have a need for them on a regular basis because I already have a lot of what I need/want. So the only useful thing for me and other veteran players are the focused pieces to try and get better versions to optimize stat distribution on builds. With no power increase, and the change to exotic rewards<from pinnacles, I actually think it’s better for the player base.

Mainly because every exotic is a hand out now. Want the new armors ? Do 2-3 legendary lost sectors. Want the new exotic guns ? Just pay for the season pass, and do a quick and easy quest. Only the raid/dungeons exotics are "rare"...and even there they made those easier to get. Meaning we have nothing left to be excited about when it comes to exotic.

Umm I think the new system is great … crafting high stat rolls of exotic armor?? Lol not for you? Are u like PvP only kind of dude?🤣😂
I remember when getting an exotic engram meant something.
2016? Yeah wild year but exotics have not been anywhere near rare since D2 dropped. But I feel your pain. There have not been of "those moments" for 7-6 years. The only exotics that have kept that luster of rarity are the raid and dungeon ones.

Going off your title, No, this business is the actual joke. This game has one of the worst loot system in gaming knowing 9+ years has gone by, and they are still beta testing 🤦♂️

If they’re rare, then people complain that they’re too rare. If they’re common, people complain that they don’t feel special.

They call them exotic, but ultimately they are just a fistful of legendary shards we have to go through an extra step to add to the pile.

Imo, rarity means nothing if the exotic and/or it stats were crap. For example, imagine playing in D1 and you went through 6 Nightfalls, did 10 raids, then a random pvp match before you get a single exotic drop. Annnnnnd it's the Apotheosis Veil, or ATS/8 Arachnid, or Boolean Gemini, etc. Welp, may as well keep it since you probably wouldn't get another exotic drop for some time.

작성자: SnakeEyes734 6/5/2023 1:42:11 AMAt this point everyone has to realize a lot of the game is designed for newer players. This allows those players to catch up. We still get new content but even just having 30 dollar eververse exclusive items says all that needs to be said about this Also when Recycling the old raids and PVP maps after a couple years it will be a new experience for many * It's actually brilliant
