I play solo and only made it to 1809 last season. Now it feels like I will be stuck there for who knows how long because the best way to get pinnacle rewards as a solo player are gone. I can understand the focusable exotic engrams replacing pinnacle, but why were some sources of pinnacles reverted to just powerful rewards?
I honestly wish power level wasn’t a thing, but since it is, it feels really bad to get these exotic engrams dropping at 1 level below max. Could you not just make the exotics pinnacle rewards? Or keep rewards as pinnacle engrams until you hit max Power? You’ve removed the grind for some people but made it significantly more difficult on others.

Update: I’ve done Lightfall weekly mission, nightfalls, and Partition (does anyone actually enjoy Partition?) for pinnacles. All have dropped in slots that I already have 1810. This is ridiculous. My only options left for pinnacles are Trials, Dares, the dungeon I don’t own the key to, and raids. Looks like I’m making no progress this week.

I'm solo too and made 1836 last season, but only on one character. I'm 1816 now and have only played Nightfall, strikes, the new missions and legendary and master lost sectors. My light level is 21 I think. I do lots of bounties which helps, but it's time consuming. I'd like all the pinnacles back, but Bungle is doing their best to discourage solos and it's working.

작성자: ReclusiveEnigma 5/28/2023 3:55:53 PMI’m right there with you. My warlock has 1810 helm, chest & bond with arms & legs 1809. I completed my weekly pinnacles & got x3 1810 helmets. How is this helpful it’s enraging it’s so unfair. They need to reverse this or they will lose players & I’m very close to being one of them. My hunter had the same thing happening even with the doe lightning round. My titan is 1802 overall but my armour is 1781-1788 so god knows how long that will take to get to 1810. This is a huge mistake in their part my patience is wearing thin!!!! 👎🏼

작성자: NerdslayerNo1 5/26/2023 11:00:49 PMI think it's interesting that for all the complaining about them, I'm of the opinion that the most popular era of pvp was the Pinnacle era, the Redrix, and really Not Forgotten, Luna's howl chase was massive. That time until they killed them was probably my most enjoyed Destiny time. Now i mostly read the forums as pvp has kinda long been forgotten. But i wasn't good at pvp and set a goal to get a Luna's howl. Largely because as a controller player 180 hand cannons were the only ones i could control at all and hand cannons were popular so Luna's looked like the only hand cannon made just for people like me that couldn't hit a whale with a 150. I had to actually watch tons of videos on how not to play like a losing player. I had to learn about when to use my supers, how to play my life, how to play from cover and reset. I got a Luna's and made the goal to go for Not Forgotten and honestly I had no real expectation to get near as i'd only been to barely Luna's rank. But in the following seasons i found my self hit the 4000s and thought, "you know maybe i could do it." I did and then was like. I'm going for Unbroken. It was literally the only reason i was playing Destiny and i got it right before everything got sunset and pinnacles were basically killed off. Pvp kinda died then for me. Stasis came in around then and everybody was getting frozen too. But since they got rid of pinnacles and kinda killed comp I stopped playing pvp and eventually stopped playing Destiny for the most part. I mostly just log on and check the vendors for god rolls now. As for light and power level. I just don't engage in that grind. It was never my idea of fun. I did enjoy solo comp though.

Just do the new dungeon. I haven't attempted, but that is an easy 3 pinnacles once you know the strategy.
