작성자: TheSheeshKid 5/18/2023 11:20:15 PMThey’re used properly in Splatoon, but with the Wii remote and nunchuck, the special moves were too finicky. It was like “I swore I thrusted my nunchuck” and the Wii would be like “nah bruh, that was a swing”. The specific moves and combos were annoyingly inconsistent, especially if you had an older controller. I loved Wii and Mario Party, and also Wii sports and just dance, those all worked very well, unfortunately it was just a big miss for Zelda. At least in my opinion. Which is truly unfortunate because I really liked the darker vibe of Twilight Princess compared to the other games in the series… oh well🤷🏻♂️. Hopefully they remaster it someday, or they put it in the Nintendo Switch Online GameCube port.

I was more meaning along the lines of Skyward Sword or The World Ends With You: Final Remix. Games that revolve around motion controls but are still really great. In any case, if I’m being honest it kinda just sounds like you had a faulty nunchuck. >.>

A few things to note: -Kirby Air Ride has no sort of story mode. There is still plenty to do singleplayer, but it’s more trying to complete challenges and such. -Pokémon XD is the sequel to Colosseum, so if you can only get one, Colosseum is the way to go. XD is the better game overall, however. -Crystal Chronicles has a remaster on Switch. If you have a Switch, the remaster is the better version. -From a gameplay standpoint, Shadow the Hedgehog is great. One of the best Sonic games. From a story perspective, though, bear in mind it is very edgy. -TTYD should be your top priority. It is one of, if not the best turn based RPG ever made.

That’s Wii, not Gamecube. Is definitely a fun game, but also definitely the worst of the 3D Mario games. In 3D All Stars I almost didn’t even get all 120 Stars, ‘cause I was kinda getting bored near the end. The Luma Spin is probably my favorite jump correction mechanic in any platformer, though.

As I said to Emu, Galaxy is just in this awkward place where it's simultaneously trying to be a collectathon, like 64 or Sunshine, while also trying to be a linear game, like 3D World. Because of this, the level design just feels kind of weird. Like, you'll run through the same areas every time like you would in Sunshine, but at the same time the game tries to give those areas a unique linear platforming challenge every time. It's like the worst of both worlds. Repetition from the collectathon side of things, but without the fun of exploring--which is what makes collectathons fun in the first place. Though, disclaimer that "worst" does not mean "bad". I love Galaxy, and it's a great game.. Just not as great as the other ones.

I actually think the dual nature plays to the strengths of both types of games. I like the repetition, because it gives it twists and fun new challenges each run. The unique platforming also adds variation to the challenge. I love the game the most because it combines the best of both worlds.

Really? That's an interesting take. I always felt like if they wanted to make linear levels they should have just made them all unique, like 3D World. I will admit there were a few worlds where it did play to its advantage; like, the ice and fire mountain, where you always started on that little ice donut, and then as the world went on the donut changed a bit, becoming partially engulfed in lava by the end of it. I just felt that those moments were far and few between, and none of the levels felt as memorable as they did in Sunshine or 64.

Oh, which reminds me, there are two other really great things about Galaxy; A: Secret Stars. Finding those hidden secrets off the beaten path was great B. Comets. Adding special modifiers to existing levels was really fun. Anyway, it’s been too long for me to remember any specific levels, but the new challenges every time thing could have alsp been done by making the new levels completely new places. I would say the mechanic of sticking in the same world would have had its use if each world had some unique gimmick, but I don’t believe they did (or if they did I forgot). Like, in FFCC each level has you use some mechanic that’s oft exclusive to that level, like burning down webs to navigate a labyrinth in Tida. If Galaxy’s levels had something like that, I think returning to the same level could add some longevityto thise gimmicks. But as far as I remember at least, each level’s differences were most just aesthetic.

Not entirely sure. It’s affected a handful of people—I know Coffee can’t PM either. It says I’ve reached my daily limit, and that I need to enable crossplay and boost my Guardian Rank or something. I’ve enabled crossplay, but it still doesn’t work, so *shrug*. It’s weird, though because Operator 6O hasn’t played Destiny in just as long as I haven’t, but her PMs still work.
-
Maybe playing a little of... the unspeakable game... would help? I'm obviously an active player, so I could help you speedrun the guardian ranks stuff sometime, so you have to spend as little time as possible in the game you so despise.

작성자: The First Aifos 5/17/2023 11:41:27 PMHaha, well, I appreciate the offer, but I don’t actually buy Gold or PS+ anymore, so I couldn’t take you up on it if I wanted to. Though even if I could I don’t think I value my PMs that much. I have Speaker & Coffee’s Discords, Altmith’s email, and Odin, Psyntifik, and Ghostmime’s Xbox accounts I can message, and I didn’t really PM many other folk on a regular basis beyond that. In response to the PM, though;
-Gravity stuff was definitely fun. I don’t think I like it more than regular platforming, but I do enjoy it. -Boss fights are the best, save maybe Odyssey. -Story is definitely also the best, not counting the RPGs. Rosalina is also my favorite Mario character, but ironically that actually works against Galaxy’s ranking, because though she was introduced in Galaxy, she’s playable in 3D World, and any game where you can play as Rosalina gets bonus “You can play as Rosalina” points. Galaxy is still very good. “Worst 3D Mario” is still a pretty high bar.
