Bungie, please let me play Destiny again.. I messed up my cross save..
I used to play Destiny 2 on Xbox, but I bought a Playstation over a year ago and gave my Xbox to my kids. I set up cross save on D2 back when I purchased my PS5, but I wasn't able to play because I wasn't able to afford the expansions at the time. Shortly after Lightfall was released, I was finally able to buy all the expansions I was behind on for PS5.
My problem arose when I was trying to make my PSN my default account for D2. The way I was reading online, I thought that disabling cross save would allow me to choose my Playstation as my default account, but now my characters are stuck on Xbox, and I can't access them for 89 days. I've had these characters since Day 1 of Destiny 1, and I was FINALLY able to jump back into the game after a long time away. Please don't make me wait another 90 days to play again.. please help.. I just want to play the game I love with the characters I've spent hundreds, if not thousands of hours, with on my new console..
The 90-day lockout is a mandatory security measure to help prevent fraud and discourage activities that could compromise players' accounts. Bungie will not remove or lessen this lockout time.

Also, if your characters are from Xbox, then there was no reason to try and make PlayStation your active account. Your active account is the platform where your characters originate from—if you were to change this from Xbox to PlayStation, you would make your Xbox characters dormant and inaccessible while only having access to characters you created on PlayStation, which in your case would be none.
