Do it. Bungie needs to be pushed to move sometimes, and player drop-off seems to do it. Just compare the pre then post Forsaken days for proof.

You are right though, Bungie needs someone checking there work, I am 100% sure Halo would have bombed without Microsofts support and guidance

I don't know. Halo 4 was too CoD like, but decent. Halo 5 was sold on a lie, and still pretty boring, but not terrible. The MCC was just remastered Bungie Halos with severely screwed up mutiplayer at launch, and quite some time after. Infinite, delayed over a year and still managed to be mediocre. Supposedly because MS contracted out a lot of the work. I mean the multiplayer feels really good, but the live service failed completely and the campaign was just another open world map full of "same-y" stuff to check off a list. I don't know how much effort 343 really put into any of it.
