The idea that you can somehow be the strongest, ultimate Guardian, or the most well-rounded player without requiring anyone to even touch Gambit (Bungie's b[b]a[/b]stard child, no surprise they ignored it) or end-game PvP, such as Competitive or Trials, is an utter sham. This is just another example of Bungie catering to the vocal player base who absolutely despises PvP and has successfully pressured Bungie into ignoring perhaps 2/3rds of their game. If I see a highly-ranked player, it'll tell me nothing about their PvP abilities, versus if I see a Flawless, Glorious, or even a Dredgen player, I'll at least know they have some bare minimum level of competence in PvP and Gambit. PvP cannot and should not be ignored in any future Guardian Rank updates and should be treated as an integral, important part of Destiny and being a well-rounded Guardian. If people cannot get to high ranks because they cannot do well in Competitive or Trials, then that's a legitimate area for them to improve in, not ignore because Bungie caters to the PvE mains and snubs PvP players yet again.
