It will always scale 10 lights ahead of your level. At least when it gets to patrols, I feel making the zones hard is just stupid. Patrol zones should be the only zone where players can over level and actually feel like gods. New players will struggle really hard and never feel any sense of progression because patrols never get easier. Patrol zones need to be for exploration and leveling, its ok to make them a little harder when a public event becomes heroic. New players need locations where they can explore and actually learn the game in a steady pace.

Completely agree. And Bungie, not only do the Interceptors and Threshers seem to be at about 2000 light level… they are also apparently equipped with engine silencers because I die from one blast from them and I never hear them coming!! How do we NOT hear THREE interceptors heading down the road to one shot us? And since when can they fire backwards and sideways? Why did you fix an area that wasn’t broken (i.e. patrols and social playing areas). If I wanted to die every 2 or 3 minutes, I’d have kept playing Dark Souls.

I heard a couple of those issues comes from frame rate, if you are at 30fps you actually take less damage. Ive never ever played a game where thats even a thing, I have no idea how thats even possible. The destiny engine is a hot mess and bungie needs to upgrade

Thats a problem, I personally love to see new players trying to learn the game. I like to flex my builds and sometimes help new players get loot or help them make builds themselves so they can enjoy the game better. The difficulty is so high right now that you not only need builds but you also need high light so new players are just hard struggling right now to get anything done.
