It's getting annoying looking for players to do a dungeon, we need matchmaking for them.

5 답변Bro could’ve made a post for a dungeon in the same amount of time it took to make this post

OK, I ***AM*** the problem here. (I almost never play w/mic). I accept that... I understand the mic/no-mic issue and how it could mess up someone else's game. However, I don't really want to listen to some kids mindlessly $hit-talking while I play the game. I'll play with pretty much anyone, but please don't make me listen to all the BS. Shall I just say I've been playing video games since the early 80's and leave it at that... I will play w/mic, but only with folks I know personally. Maybe that is a little too narrow minded but its a trade-off I've accepted. So, yeah, I'll make the trade-off. I've only done LFG once (Grasp of Avarice, last Boss, wanting Gjallerhorn) and I made it clear I was "no mic". Fortunately, by then, I had all the mechanics sorted so wasn't a hinderance to my team. But yeah, I get it! I would like some way to do matchmaking in dungeons (short of LFG). The mechanics might very well be new to me, but I would still prefer not to have to play with voice enabled. Maybe a min/nomic setting, or some sort of a "guided" instance, etc. I have skipped a good many dungeons, etc cause I simply knew there was no way I was going to solo them or be able to run them without a mic (to be fair to my team). ...and there are some challenges you simply can't solo (like the one which required a team to link beams from point-to-point - I forget the name). I promise to pay attention and try not to bork things up...

20 답변Damn, I've read through this entire thread. I'm convinced the majority of those who are so vocal about NOT having OPTIONAL matchmaking for all activities are just plain stubborn. I don't get it.

작성자: ZyloWolfBane 3/16/2023 3:48:25 AMAt least for the normal versions of them, after just a run or two with one other person for each dungeon we don't even really communicate most mechanics cause we each have something we know how to do and we just go, none of them are particularly difficult aside from buggy -blam!-. Master difficulty doesn't need matchmaking, you can't convince me otherwise. That's where it becomes a lot more important to have proper teamwork, ammo management, etc like a raid situation, you don't get that from randos popping in and out like a strike. That was demonstrated quite well last week with the 1770 nightfall.

작성자: xbroggiex 3/16/2023 1:43:24 AMIt sounds nice but would be horrible. No matter if you cry "optional" over and over like a broken record it doesn't matter. The simple fact is MM would be unreliable therefore would not be implemented and has too many variables to be worth implementing over just introducing ingame LFG which they are doing this year.

4 답변HAHAHAHAHA PEOPLE CAN'T COMPREHEND PASSING THE BALL IN THE CORRUPTED. YOU THINK THEY CAN HANDLE A DUNGEON???

29 답변No. All the people looking for carries would flock to it. They don't wanna put in the effort to get a fireteam, learn the mechanics, or even bring a decent build.

A big reason why match making doesn't exist in dungeons is because soloing dungeons is a triumph for just about all of them. You throw in matchmaking and that becomes impossible because the game would behave like a heroic NF and never put you in solo. If you want to try a dungeon in a fire team there are plenty of LFG options. And you'd end up with more skilled players too.

11 답변No they don’t. LFG works completely fine. Matchmaking would just put you with someone who doesn’t know the mechanics, running double primary and no mic.

3 답변Only if mics are required unless you have 10+ clears. I mean you really want to get paired up with 2 noobs that never cleared the dungeon before and don't have a mic so you can't explain the mechanics. Spire and shattered wouldn't be as bad, but duality would be a nightmare

3 답변Hard no. Trials matchmaking is the best example of why endgame content should never be matchmade.

2 답변I'll be honest. I always dreaded lfg and it still has it's fair shair of creeps and -blam!- but on the whole I have had maybe three legit negative encounters?... Maybe four. The first was back in D1 related to the sword quest in spanken king. The second was d2, had something to do with song of savathun, I think it was an exotic quest that required you to do song of sav in a special way? I can't remember what it was for, probably TLW or something. By the way. Seriously. Never meet your hive gods. They seemed like some kind of eldritch horrors before you meet them then you actually run into them and they're all dorks. Anyway... The last one that really springs to mind was spire where I had a guy start shrieking at me for using a striker insead of a bubble titan, he quit, someone else came in, they quit, someone else came in, they quit, and finally got some people together. Basically I had to reset after each encounter, thats the only truly awful experience I have, but then again I'm pretty calm and I don't care if it's someone's first time, or both player's first time, I tell them how the mechanics work, and that a lot of it is just memorizing what to do and when, and it gets done. If you're an -blam!- you're going to have a bad time on lfg, I find it is easier to go with the flow, accept youll have set backs, and deal with it....... Half the time people play without mics anyway.

3 답변When you've done Nightfalls long enough........you see the very reason matchmaking should never be allowed for the higher tier content. People struggle with a simple champion concept.....let alone dungeon mechanics. However since it wouldn't cause me a problem. (I know how to talk and play well with other people). Might as well give it out.
