Cayde-6 /COULD/ Return
Think about it. How did we bring Saint-14 back to life, and who’s to say we couldn’t do the same thing for Cayde?
EDIT: Don’t really care for this topic anymore, so still getting notifications from it is kinda bothersome.

cayde is the 2nd best character (shin malphur #1) and there is so much to learn still, for example: i just learned that he was maya sundaresh's bodyguard before he got a job with bray tech implying that he was a double agent since bray tech and ishtar collective were fierce competitors. he could actually be a triple agent since he worked for the vanguard as well. the exo sure made his rounds and has a fascinating history but im more interested in who cayde was derived from and if its possible that this human man is still slive (shin malphur maybe 🤞) similarly to how banshee is derived from clovis, most would assume that when a human goes exo its a one way ticket; however, this remains to be the conclusion resulting from the limitations of bray tech experimentation. the ishtar collective, rivals of bray tech, conducted their own research and may have discovered a way to preserve the life of a human upon creation of that humans exo. not sure how exactly but cloning comes to mind if in actual fact the human must die in order to create exo. since ishtar was using vex tech to build a prediction engine: " mind forking device" which would destroy the mind of anyone who uses it, i have no doubt that cloning would be a top priority. -

2 답변Don't care bout your edit gonna be bothersome and reply. Could he? Yes shockingly easily ever since we got access to the DSC however he made it clear in his will that should he die his final death he did not want to come back so we won't bring him back out of respect for his final wishes

I doubt there’s anyway to actually bring cayde back, my guess there’s only 3 possible albeit poor options: 1. Assuming exo’s memories are stored in a physical form not radiolaria and that his hardrive wasn’t irreparably damage when ulderen shot him it may be possible to upload him to a new exo frame; but judging by how hard exos memories take it when they get rebooted I doubt cayde would live a quality existence if that was possible 2. When cayde was goofing around with vex tec on Nessus his memories may have gotten entwined in their system; if caydes paracausality didn’t prevent the vex from copying his data and that they even cared to do so; it maybe possible to have the splicers download him from the vex network, but once again this could be hard on caydes memories and he’d only remember up to the siege on the last city. 3. Same as 2 but if Mercury returns and we could get back into a functional version of the infinite forest we could try and simulate and extract a copy of him. None of these options have him returning with the light nor with insight or memories on recent events and two of them would probably result in an existence paramount to torture (at least for the foreseeable future). So if it is possible, it might not be what’s best for him or the people who cared most about him.

It's not going to happen We may get a new exo hunter to enjoy but cayde by all accounts is dead Especially because the voice actor is no longer part of the vocal team Neither is dinklage, hence dinklebot changing into this blasé ghost we have now

Saint was in the infinite forest, Cayde wasn't. Any version of him in the infinite forest if there were one, would be lightless, and not be able to leave, but I'm pretty sure it isn't just the light Vex can't simulate, but also Guardians by extension. It just isn't possible.

But 6, straight up didn't want to come back. If anything, get his memory, call him someone else like banshee and Clovis did, and let him live a normal life without the daring...and just an average exo, with no powers. The nonlinear loop would be a different approach, setting him up to die (did you kill him, who took him out of the loop).

Cayde-6 will return as a chicken and Bungie will do a collaboration with Raising Canes (they sell chicken tenders for those unfamiliar with the fast food restaurant) to promote his return! + Free in game emblem when you purchase any chicken finger combo from Cane’s. That said Saint was already in the Forest, Cayde never was. The Forest is also on Mercury...which is a bit difficult to get to right now since, you know, the planet is gone.
