Its well past known that Bungie has been putting the nails in the coffin when it's come to the life of destiny but this community is just as guilty of killing the game they "Love". God forbid you try to do a raid for the first time, doesn't matter how many guides you've seen, doesn't matter if you know every single mechanic forwards and backwards if you don't have at least 10 clears you don't get to raid, not to mention must have such and such gun or run a specific build.
I recently purchased beyond light and witch queen and cleared the campaigns so I can do the raids. After hours in LFGs on Xbox, the destiny app and other online services still haven't found a group to raid with. Doesn't matter if I'm 1600 light or that I know what I'm doing. If you got no clears then you don't get to raid, which is just one of the backwards ways of this communities thinking. As I sat trying to find a team I watched the same guy post in an lfg for 3 hours trying to find 1 person for vow. Even tho I was able, well past level and knew what to do he still waited 3 hours till he found someone with clears and that's assuming that he found someone and didn't give up after those 3 hours.
Add trials to that mix while very competitive and understandable why you'd want someone to hold their own you can go -blam- yourself if you think you'll get to play with people other than those with a .03 or friends. Which wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't for the fact in order to get clears in a raid or get a better KD in trials you have to do SAID ACTIVITIES.
The coming changes to the game don't excite me anymore than the next player but these changes alone aren't what kills destiny. This high horse elitist attitude is what puts the game in the dirt. I started with the D1 beta days and played this game religiously, pre-ordered D2 and the first two dlcs and have since then been on and off. I always come back wondering why I left but once I hit endgame content I'm reminded that this community sucks all the joy from the game. This game will never be a major ESPORTS game and that's well known and while its good for streaming, the top destiny player is nothing compared to other FPS games, acting like you're the greatest in a game that lacks any actual challenging content and refusing to play with those you deem to be worse than you just drives destiny closer to it's end.

Why not ask your clanmates to run Raids with you?
