It’s still pretty solid but could use a buff to its reserves. It’s damage is in a good spot right now, it just feels so punishing to use now.
Heavy GLs, Fusions, and Shotguns all need buffs to base reserves.

It does less damage than a Storm grenade and lasts about as long. I mean Bungie just doesn't know how to ADJUST anything. They either make it monstrously OP, or make it useless. There's literally no situation or encounter in the game where Anarchy is worth using right now. And please don't say "add clear" because that is NOT what heavy weapons are for.

I think that’s less of Anarchy being weak than Storm grenades being hilariously strong. It does about 2-2.5x the DPS of Witherhoard. It’s easier to apply at long range and yes while it is a heavy weapon, is very good at dealing with Majors. It’s damage versus champions was never nerfed, in fact it’s doing 10% more damage now than it did back at its height. Anarchy + double slugs still does higher DPS than just Linears and even with the nerf to it’s reserves has a higher total damage than almost any weapon in the game and it’s entirely passive damage. Anarchy does good damage, it just feels too punishing to use liberally due to its tiny reserve ammo capacity.

High Impact Fusions, High Impact and Adaptive LMGs need more reserves. Non-Exotic Shotguns are pretty okay, and GLs have ~3 drums of what is usually burst damage, so it seems balanced. Comparatively LFRs recieve about 3⅔ mags (with Enhanced Battery) of high burst and sustained damage, where other heavies typically accomplish either or, with relatively the same amount, so I can see their reserves being reduced.

Why not just buff the reserves of underperforming weapon types. Leave Linears and Rockets alone and buff Swords, GLs and Machine Guns. Machine Guns are getting boosts to major damage and ammo efficiency (most likely total ammo capacity) next season. Swords are great in the encounters that favor them. A slight boost to some of the sword damage or basic damage perks would go a long way to make them excel in the areas they should. I’d favor buffing legendary sword damage perks and the underperforming exotic swords to keep lament in check. GLs have ok single mag DPS but they lack the reserves to deal decent total damage or the reload speed to sustain its high DPS over multiple mags. Buffs to their damage, reload speed, or reserve ammo would go a long way to making them somewhat usable. All non-rapid Fire fusions get around 2.5 mags of ammo. This is lower than most other legendaries. Shotguns (specifically rapid fires and High impacts feel like they get too little ammo for their damage.
