Hi all, My friend's Xbox/Microsoft was hacked recently, and then subsidentally completely shut down/deactivated (within the last month). He has his Bungie.net account hooked up to that very same email that was shut down. Is there a way to recover his account? Possibly a way to hook up a new email address/log-in credentials to his original Bungie.net account so he can at least regain back his progress or even characters? He's played Destiny since D1 days, put countless hours into his respected characters, spent so much money on Eververse, DLC, etc. He doesn't want to lose all his progress from the last few years due to an issue with his microsoft account. He has played Bungie games since the OG Halo days, is massive fan of the Bungie games, and overall a great customer/consumer for them. Due to his original Xbox/Microsoft account being hacked and deactivated, he now has a new email/gamertag that is safe with no security issues, and is wanting to get back into Destiny 2 again, only issue being, he has lost all his progress; countless hours poured into his characters. He could regain stuff like armor, weapons, cosmetics, eververse/emotes dating back from OG vanilla Destiny 2 (some stuff that is not currently obtainable anymore). Obviously because it's a whole new Xbox account he has lost all the DLC, which does suck, but he will buy again to play game if he can get his characters back, so if anything, Bungie would be making more money if they could help him. Is there any way of contacting Bungie Help or Customer Service regarding this issue? I want to try get him in contact with them to see if they can help him. TLDR; Microsoft account hacked/deactivated, can he still use his Bungie.net account? Cheers all x
