13 답변작성자: MƏĐJƏĐ 10/7/2022 11:04:19 PMI now see people arguing that the nerf is a 50% decrease. yes, it's a decrease of 50%, TO THE DEBUFF. Not total outgoing damage. *Assuming that Div is the only outgoing multiplicative debuff and a weapon does 60k damage current div: 60,000 x 1.30 = 78,000 damage post nerf div: 60,000 x 1.15 = 69,000 damage 78,000 - 69,000 = 9,000 damage lost 9,000 / 78,000 = ~12% rounded up loss of damage 12% is not that much. stop using the number "50%" as a crutch for arguments if you're not going to show how much outgoing damage on a boss is actually being affected by the nerf.

17 답변작성자: Ray 10/7/2022 5:54:20 PMSo hold on, let me get this straight The weapon still gives a gigantic crit bubble, making it easy for great damage The weapon still gives a debuff. The longest lasting debuff at that The weapon is still the best weapon against overloads The weapon still has great ammo economy But throw it in the trash because it got a slight debuff nerf? All this does is prove who used it as a crutch and who is actually skilled in the game. I see what side you’re on…

3 답변작성자: thatdudeEd54 10/8/2022 3:28:25 AMDiv still has gigantic crit bubble.....check Div still gives debuff for teamates, is still usefull on really out of reach targets, and acts more of a better version Frenzy with the nerf.....check Div is still the best Overload Stunner, tied with Le Monarch.....check Yea I think ill still use Div for the majority of Endgame content You have options now....run Tractor Cannon, Heartshadow, A hunter with Tether, or Void weaken gernades. Div is still there im case nobody wants to put that stuff on

3 답변Quit exaggerating, people use it more for the crit bubble than the debuff Imagine trying to use a LFR or Izinagi against a moving boss without it It will still be a requirement for most endgame content

7 답변작성자: neonsox42 10/7/2022 11:35:54 PMIt’ll loose some value in a few places: - Oryx - Golgoroth - Templar - Caretaker As the drop from 30% to 15% means that you will always be losing damage on the debuff compared to just having a 6th person do DPS (30*5=150%, 15*5=75%. This means that adding a Div is now a net-drain on your team’s DPS as the player with the Div needs to constantly maintain it. Div will still likely be used versus bosses that move or have hard to hit crits such as Rhulk, Daughters, or Warpriest as the damage gained through consistency is likely more than the damage penalty of relying entirely on the debuff and Div’s own damage. This will likely open up Tractor Cannon, Tether and other forms of weaken that either do more damage themselves or allow you to swap to a different weapon while the enemy is debuffed. Void Hunters and Controverse Warlocks just got a lot more valuable. It’s annoying but I can understand it. Every other debuff was redundant before, and the nerf maintains what makes Div special. It’ll still be used, it just won’t be the go-to for everything. Again, it sucks and is annoying but I understand what Bungie’s getting at. Edit: More in-depth explanation
I don’t think I explained this well. Div deals 30% debuff. Therefore you can technically weight Div’s value to the team as the team’s DPS (except for the Div user * 30%. This is the amount of damage Div would provide. This, theoretically, makes Div’s DPS value: (5 * 30% of player DPS) + Div’s generally low damage output. This roughly rounds out to the Div player contributing around 150% player damage by equipping Div. With the new changes this goes from 150% player damage to a little over 75% player damage. This means that now, when you equip Div, your contribution to DPS will be lower than the player’s DPS with a normal loadout. From there, players will need to make a choice whether the Crit bubble is worth losing out on some of your team’s damage. This is all because of how Div operates, requiring near constant uptime. I was just trying to illustrate that it’s now still decent but will not be “optimal” unless the amount of damage lost due to missing is more than damage lost by almost dropping a person’s damage. Encounters like Golgoroth this is even more pronounced as there is even fewer players.
3 답변I hope everyone realizes by now, there is not a single gun in this game that is safe from being adjusted. I learned this after they nerfed Vex into the ground in D1. I don’t have Div; but many of my friends do. I can live without it honestly. Sometimes I wish the Div guy would switch to a dps weapon just to see what would happen. At least now Collective Obligation/Tether/certain grenades will be much more useful. I don’t like any nerfs, but I think we’ll be ok switching it up from time to time.

How?? Div will still dominate where bosses have small crit spots, just pair DPS with a tether. Div was doing 2 things very well equaling too much ease of use. The nerf is one of the nicest things they could’ve done. FYI this nerf wasn’t spearheaded by streamers, it’s been talked about within Bungie for a while now even before people said stuff.

When somebody messes up the game that I paid with my own money, spent time with it and gather rewards from it, we’re going to have a problem. It’s like buying your favorite food in a restaurant, and then you keep coming back buying the same favorite food over the years, and then one day one guy with a dirty hand starts twirling your food around your plate while you are eating. Again, we’re going to have a problem. That’s what’s happening here. It happened before. It will happen again with this company because they are weak and they are showing us that they don’t really know what they’re doing. In my line of work, we have a name for it. It’s called Unprofessionals. That’s why I lost respect for both this company and the small portion of the community with dirty hands that touches your food. A company that doesn’t deserve your respect and support as well. Everyone is a paying customer, especially if the rewards that you play are part of the paid aspect of the game. You don’t deserve the disrespect of a paying customer if you don’t like what they do to your food. Give yourselves some self worth and self respect. You deserve it. You don’t deserve to be treated like somebody is playing with your food with dirty hands while you’re eating. It happened before, happening now, may happen again in the future or their other projects. Ain’t gonna pay for that mess. Broken game.

It still has 15% debuff + efficient crit bubble spot, more that can be said for what became of Anarchy after everyone thought that nerf would make the world end (and it didn’t.) Plus this allows hunters to use their tether more now so that others can become more versatile in their set up. Give it time, it’ll be fine.
