If your mental health is suffering from playing a video game, it’s time to switch it off and take a long break from it.
It really is that simple 👍
Makes a comment like that, but is playing a game intentionally being designed to produce addicts. Put the focus on Bungie and its manipulative tactics.
Why ? You do have a choice to play or not . Bungie is not forcing people to play.
but is playing a game intentionally being designed to produce addicts.
What even do you mean by this? Can you produce any evidence? All I hear on here is how terrible the game is and that's it's bleeding players and is dying and bla bla bla. If Bungie is producing "addicts" they sure are doing a piss poor job of it 🤣

Fomo had been used by bingee for a long time. A lot of its structure and mechanics are build around it. Here is an article about FOMO: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/social-instincts/202003/four-facts-about-fomo

Nice reply cleverly crafted so you don't have to defend your own position. No I did not "answer" my own question. Why don't you clear things up, if you can.... Your post is as lame as those "You made my point for me" troll posts....

God you're useless. Is debating in dumb fortune cookie parables all you do here? Looking at your history it seems yes. I'm going to do my own mental health a solid and ignore your -blam!- from now on. See? People CAN make good choices and accept some responsibility.

You're very ignorant, so I'll point out that you question why people play a game that they have so many issues with - it's called an ADDICTION. You literally answered your own question. People keep coming back to the game, despite having so many complaints and despite Bungies minimal efforts, they keep playing. Stop being obtuse and pay attention.
Makes a comment like that, but is playing a game intentionally being designed to produce addicts. Put the focus on Bungie and its manipulative tactics.
If someone’s addicted to Destiny to the point they are suffering, my advice would be for them to turn off the game and address their issue with addiction. In my opinion, their priority should be their own health. Video game addiction is an interesting topic of conversation that applies to many AAA studios, not just Bungie. It’s also incredibly complex trying to determine which game mechanics are simply ‘engaging’ and which ones are ‘damaging’, because it varies from person to person.

작성자: Gibbon, the Ape Defector 10/2/2022 10:36:34 PMThat framing of the issue is too black-and-white. But regarding who must take responsibility for an addict, it's always the consumer who became the addict. There will always be people out there who have someone's struggle to profit from; that's beyond axiomatic. So because of that, it's not practical to make an effort to eradicate this behavior by blaming it. Thus, we should be the ones to fix it. People who profit from addiction are wronging society, but there's nothing we can do about that, so it's our responsibility not to fix them, but to keep ourselves away from them.

작성자: Gibbon, the Ape Defector 10/3/2022 12:35:41 PMSo you're suggesting that you have a solution for making bad people good? People have been trying to be good for thousands of years but there is still no means of guaranteeing that someone will be good, or be made to be good. Way back in the early 20th century, alcohol was not legal to be sold. But that didn't mean alcohol was gone; lots of people found a way to get their drinks from "black market" sellers. And why? Because going out there to try and shoot down the problem doesn't even fix it. Good people don't just happen, even if measures are taken to fight bad behaviors. (Not to say drinking is bad, but it's just a good analogy given its addictive nature.) So again, are you suggesting that you have a solution to make bad people good?
