There are no rewards in this game. There is so much toxicity and this is one that Bungie has fostered nurtured throughout the entire franchise and it needs to stop. All of the current grinds and rng implementations even with the event overstay there welcome. It is a known fact out of gaming in every part of life from the dmv to walmart when people feel they’ve been disrespected, they’re money, investment, and time put in diminished THEY DO NOT BEHAVE WELL. This is everyone it’s irrespective. People come to the forums Twitter Reddit to air there grievances and when they go ignored for long periods of time because of greed or whatever reason it can only be expected to escalate. This is the only industry with zero consumer protections. Only gaming has such high price tags that can spell out to 100% losses due to developer obfuscation and deceptive marketing and communication. Bungie you do all of these things and are inching close to blizzard levels of predatory. On all levels this has escalated but Bungie continues to ask players to buy in and now defend them from and police their detractors.
The average Bungie employee makes 93k a year and the median income in the US 31k. Stark contrasts from players seems to me like sueing players is more a matter of privilege. I don’t condone harassment but punching down while manipulating gameplay to where it requires an 8 hour a day investment and rng that can EXPONENTIALLY increase playtime needed for “rewards” feels hypocritical. Gameplay feels like a job. Here’s a much needed dose of reality if you come to people genuine and honest yes you have to do some not so good things because Bungie is a business but if your endeavor is to do right by the players always you’ll avoid what has happened recently and it won’t be a thing where devs have to ask the community to be better. Respect is a two way street.
