What if the witness can see futures?
There witness is manipulating us into a future it likes.
Mabye Elsie bray(the exo stranger) is also secretly on the witnesses side?

To be fair, Elsie was encouraging Guardians to utilize darkness. I know it was being used to stop Eramis but The Witness could have been manipulating Eramis to use Stasis to encourage Guardians to wield Darkness. It’s probably nothing but it would make a twist in Lightfall or Final Shape.

So we’ve been told. It’s speculation. I’m just saying, it would be cool. It could also match up story wise, with everything else that’s been happening. Idk if you read the lore in depth, it sounds like you don’t.

Nowhere in any recent "lore" does it say in any way shape or form that Elsie is on the Darkness' side, literally everything that should have happened in her timeline (up to this point) has been avoided through our own actions and pure luck of fate But because you couldn't help yourself from implying i basically don't know what I'm talking about I'm just going to mute you for that kind of disrespect, I'm not going to waste any more time with someone like you who thinks something such as Elsie being secretly evil, doing so wouldn't be a plot twist, it would be just story writing that would make laughably no sense.

I get what you're saying but there's not a single shred of anything in the lore that could even possibly end up with Elsie secretly being an enemy & a disciple of the witness. Personally it would be an extremely odd thing for bungie to do since her whole reason for doing what she's doing is to save Ana & prevent her from becoming corrupted & ultimately dying ya know? There's multiple futures where the guardian is fully corrupted according to in game dialogue with elsie & im pretty sure its mentioned in the dark future lore tab (I assume we'd be a disciple in those timelines but the witness has never been mentioned until the witch queen expansion)
