Currently, I'd say they're too easy to use for how much you can do with them.
But since pulses are getting buffed next update, I'll reserve my judgement for next update.
But in the now sandbox, I'd either significantly cut the ease of use, or hit the range + sharpen falloff.
I love hand cannons, but I am terrible with them, so I hardly use them in PvP. But, I will say I’m tired of getting mapped by palindrome from far distances.
Yes absolutely lol. It would be nice if other primaries could get buffed to hand cannon level but I dont think it's really possible. Hand cannons are inherently always going to be good because of high damage output and good in air accuracy making you able to peek shoot, slide challenge, and competently fight in the air unlike you can with any other type of primary
Nope, just easy mode.
Max flinch, max damage per shot and can use cover when needed for maximum use.
It is usually the best options that are overused due to the stats and perk combo they can achieve. The other ones can barely do anything due to how much recoil is happening due to lack of synergy between perks and stats.
Then you add on the fact there is an Enhanced Hand Cannon Targeting this season for one measly point and you got yourself a META on steroids.
You want to balance Hand Cannons without harming them completely, reduce or remove the flinch applied from them and put them in their intended range. Scout Rifles should the range variation of them.
You want to balance special weapons, apply additional flinch and negation of special effectiveness from primaries ie reduce charge rate, pellet spread or accuracy.
No. I think they are difficult to hit shots, atleast for me.
The Not Forgotten, Lunas Howl and Trust were easier to use, due to the recoil being minor.
People complain about anything that kills them, Handcannons are most commonly used so they get most of the brunt.
Every weapon needs balancing for better or worse in this game imo but as it stands i think most weapons are viable in Crucible.
If we're talking matchmaking, then thats a different story...
