Who is the boss of the Vex? How does their leadership structure work? Do they even have one?

3 답변작성자: Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds 5/21/2022 4:41:00 PMWe know very little of them. Not even sure any Guardian has ever even directly communicated with them. From what I gathered from Garden of Salvation lore, they are the first life to have come from the garden. Something about a single self sustaining organism repeatedly rising and dominating within the garden. Makes me think that they are “the final shape.”

Structure, sure. I would say their leader is the beginning of the design...or their God. They enjoy trying to understand, to quantify the experience of reality. You want to get to the main brain before the God, that one that took all the understanding of their definitions, and put it into one vex...got a couple more years, may not look vexxy though.

I don't think they have one. They're just programmed to replicate, grow, and conquer. In the lore I believe they came from another universe only as radiolaria on a comet and crashed on a planet. They grew from there to other systems. The vex do center their 'homeworld' at 2082 Volantis.

There is likely some central core type deal to them. In D1 there was an implication about something being in the center of their network and after the Taken got there, they could Take the entire Vex collective. I’d wager it’s the initial pattern form that escaped out of the Garden. Or maybe a personality that has been put in charge. Kinda like how they used the Ishtar clone of Maya that was evil to torture Clovis.

3 답변The vex have one. As someone already said it’s referred to as “the first program” and based off newer lore it is likely the direct remnant created by the original flower game between the winnower and the gardener (darkness and traveler). The whole reason why the traveler changed the game was because a single form of life kept being dominant (the vex/the first program). The vex aren’t really light or dark. They just exist and expand in the purest essence of life itself. As far as the leader, I’m expecting we’ll see something more than just ramblings from 7 years ago sometime soon (before lightfall). I’m just waiting for it to end up being Cortana 2.0.

3 답변Actually, the name of the vex Leader was already revealed in Vanilla Destiny 2 campaign in one of the Adventures. In the Adventure, "Deep Conversation" there is a mention of an entity that leads the Vex called, "The First Program". link to adventure and transcript: https://www.destinypedia.com/Deep_Conversation

1 답변작성자: reenry 5/20/2022 10:18:40 AMi dont think anyone knows at this point. anytime a vex big boi shows up we instantly smack them down with minimal effort. vex aint hive where they have 30 gods connected to 30 powerful beings where we gotta kill in strikes to get to. Its the same with cabal/fallen but cabal currently in lore is very complicated in our relationship? they probably have had the most universe threatening power prior to the witness. the infinite forest, black garden, and vog are all in lore extremely powerful places. we have took them all out. anywhere the vex are we just kinda smush them, even if they are side characters. Beyond Light. “fallen are on the rise, oh and maybe the vex.” We crushed the Vex for literal funzies. Okay maybe not for fun but they werent our main goal, they just got involved with the wrong things.

3 답변Honestly all I know about the vex hierarchy is that the vex we have faced up to this moment have only been like librarians compared to their real solders.

There's a chance Asher mir could be in control of some vex. He was apparently related to something found in Season of the Splicer I believe, My Name is Byf made a video about how he could be related to that harpy found in the Last City Override playlist, which is now vaulted. Video Link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0-ktx5WZFk Right now the vex are kind of just in shambles, they need some sort of leader after they lost Quria to really be a threat, but I believe their homeworld is still around so who knows what bungie has for them as a faction that was once the big dogs of the universe.

1 답변Honestly, considering how the Vex have been on the rise lately it's likely they have someone within Guardians. I think the most likely choice is Klayde-6. He is a talking robot, and more technically advanced than the Vex, so it's likely they view him as a god. Plus, Klayde has always been a bit sus. I think the whole him getting killed by Preta was all a front to allow him to devote more time to organizing the Vex. He ended up getting stuck in those stimulations bc he was trying to create a stronger link to the Vex mind. Further, it's pretty telling that the Vex never attacked Klayde. The only other possible leader is that robot who sweeps up around the tower. He is in a perfect position to see/overhear secrets w his super robot hearing and vision. Not to mention, I have always thought that sweeping robot was super shady.

The Vex operate like a hive mind, broken down into subfactions and subunits of those performing different tasks to reach the end goal of convergence. It's possible that their may be some kind of "Alpha Mind" at the end of all of it, but at the same time, we have no idea what their upper echelon is like. We haven't even had official confirmation of what their combat units even look like (though Wyverns are implied to be such), so the Vex don't seem to take us seriously in the long run.
