I find it interesting that we do not encounter a Winnower statue on Rhulk’s Pyramid. It makes me believe that their are pyramids with their own agendas as you say.

There are plenty of reasons to believe that those statues are not of the Witness or the Winnower for one look at Savathun’s symbols, in season of Arrivals we saw Savathun’s original symbol but in witch queen that symbol changed, and it changed into one resembling the dark statues. Why? If Savathun is trying to distance herself from the dark how does it make sense to use the symbol of her enemy for herself? Unless of course doesn’t represent the Witness. There is also unused concept art for the Winnower and Gardener characters from all the way back in d1. And guess what the Gardener looked like? Now could things have changed since then, yes indeed, but judging from what I’ve seen I don’t think we’re too far off. Also if you take a look at the unused concept art there is a LOT of human/pyramid faction imagery that looks unrelated to guardian gear on Artstation and there are things that point to that connection in game if you look. (Statues almost everywhere in the throne world and in the scorn strike if you look in the stained glass cases in the 2 plate room you will find 6 cases displaying something that seems important and in the raid you can find even more)
