???
Top 1 % players don't enjoy this matchmaking, bottom 1 % don't enjoy this matchmaking, just like everyone inbetween.
Literally noone does. Where do you get this from? High skilled players don't enjoy it because the team balancing (totally not sbmm yea right) forces them to play against a team of above average players while they get complete noobs in their team and noobs get steamrolled.
Before you suggest SBMM. We already have that. It is just renamed. We used to have even stricter SBMM in this game in season of the drifter and it did not work at all for this game. Player base is WAY to tiny for the pvp portion. We had 15+ minute queue times and asian 300 ping lobbies with stricter sbmm because way too few ppl play.
So the only solution is to remove literally every single team balancing sbmm algorythm and win rate restriction forcing match outcomes and make it pure CBMM. Just random matchups. That way atleast half the matches will be extremely fun for everyone while the other half will suck. Right now 99 % of the matches suck. Would be a step up imo.
Let's not forget how casual, unbalanced and cheese infested this game is. Seeking for balanced teams isn't only a matter of "fairness", it simply does not work for D2. So why not make it fun and enjoyable with good connections at the very least.
If we had SBMM then there wouldn't be such drastic stomps and mercies.
SBMM was removed from all playlists except comp ever since Season of Arrivals around ... June? July?
It's been cbmm since then. They tried an Iron Banner Freelance Lobby Balance -once- and then never again because it broke a lot of things. So instead of refining or fixing it, they took the lazy way out and never tried it again after removing it. Same as performance-based MM in Trials. Tried once, then never again because instead of refining it, it was easier to remove it.
