A LOT of people have replied to his post saying “it’s not about you” or “there really is no issue because it’s just in 1 category of play” or “you’re just bad at the game”.
YOU are the people he’s talking about. And it went right over your heads. Because this post isn’t about YOU or himself. It’s about the matchmaking which has gotten worse. And it has, there’s no denying it. So it IS an issue. Try to reply to posts with actually feed back.
Now regarding what OP stated. I myself don’t PvP. I never do trials either. Don’t care much about trials because I agree it should be skill based. But I also can agree that if bungie wanted to help out players in trials, they would penalize consecutive card resets or not allow it. In an effort to keep flawless high(er) skill players playing high skill players.
Regarding the rest of PvP, I went in for the first time this DLC a couple weeks ago and I too was matched against teams, flawless players, and try hards with high rep. When I started out with 0 rep, haven’t reset my rep, and my K/D is low. That simply isn’t very inviting for low skill and new players (which I’m neither). And it’s again, not what bungie said they were doing, reporting was being successful, nor actually “working as intended”.
Bungie has seemingly lied about how successful things have been before. And there’s an issue with what they see/say, verse what’s happening to players. If you’re new, this happens, you may not come back. And over time it creates a greater divide of players.
Good players dont want to change anything. They like stomping bad players. I wouldnt be surprised if its intentionally this bad to feed the blueberries to the god players to keep them coming back. Offering freelance matchmaking in to trials is just another way to feed the god players while enticing the blueberries to come play with average loot.
It also helps Bungie, look at any Frostbolt video where he does builds and gets like 40 kills with it. These types of players (no offense intended to them) advertise the game for them. The new people see Frostbolt smoke an entire lobby and think if they use this weapon and perk combo they'll do the same. If Frost all of a sudden had to face sweats all the time the gameplay would not look as good, and he'd probably get frustrated with it.
