I will never understand why people play Destiny for a "serious PVP" experience. This just isn't the game for that, there are to many variables to even remotely approach balance. TBH I think we need another live service shooter that is either more difficult or more causal than Destiny. Because Destiny trying to please both crowds isn't working.

Destiny 2 pvp is awful. The lack of modes, the lack on maps, the lack of attention from bungie workers I just went on Twitter, and the topics are all about crushing destiny pvp. Can’t ban those videos on Twitter

I think its because they are insisting on pushing this stupid cross-platform crap. The more I look into it, the more I think it's not even [i]possible[/i] to balance pvp in D2 across all platforms [i]AND[/i] with both M&K and Controller players. Iron Banner has been -blam!- for many seasons. Last time it was any good [i]at all[/i] was with SBMM on. But the real shitstorm was when Crossplay was enabled. Controller players and M&K [i]DO NOT BELONG IN THE SAME LOBBY![/i] Iron Banner is STILL COMPLETE TRASH. I keep sticking around, hoping they will fix this, but its just not happening. A lot of good changes have been made with Witch Queen. I have personally been trying really hard to be positive (with my forum posts). Pve feels better in some ways than it has for a while, but Bungie is still doing a lot of dumb things. They ignore simple things we ask for. They insist on make pve about endless spawning mobs from every direction, configuring the spawner so the more you kill, the faster they spawn till they overwhelm you, no mater what. Its so stupid! It makes kills irrelevant because more will just spawn. You don't even get the satisfaction of killing the last mobs, they all just disappear mid-combat when [i]thing-x happens[/i] (or whatever). Deeply unsatisfying and devoid of any passion or soul whatsoever. Solo in D2 is horrible. The ONLY endgame content I can do is Iron Banner, and IB is trash now. Ive been playing PVP games, and loving them, since there where PVP games. Not only does pvp always feel like the other team is cheating (and they might be), but even moving around the map feels sluggish and unresponsive (on controller). The worst part, by far, is Bungies attitude. The [i]BEST[/i] response they ever give is "we will fix that next season"! No Bungie. We all paid for [i]this[/i] season. Fix it Now.

Battlefields latest game is dying so fast it’s going f2p. Die hard cod fans are quitting cod. Halo has nothing to do and a garbage monetization system Kinda feels like most big games have a lot of issues these days with very few launching in finished states

Pvp is good, don't get it twisted. Gun play is great, it's the abilities and ability meta that take the whole attention away from the gunplay. If this game were to just remove abilities and supers from pvp and strictly make it gun play only, you would see a drastic difference with a positive feedback.

Nobody in the general gaming community has nor will ever take Destiny pvp seriously. Crucible tryhards are big fish in a small pond.

The fact that so many people continue to talk about it would imply otherwise tbh. Just look at Infinite. Everyone is leaving that game and it shows through lack of discussion on long-standing issues. This is a self own if I ever saw one. Don't get me wrong though. There's definitely stuff to complain about. The type of people who unironically make these posts just want to be coddled though.

Is destiny 2 pvp in need of help? Absolutely. Does it have the worst pvp of any game out there? Hell no. It doesn't even have the worst pvp of any triple A game. It's just that most people ignore those games and then move on. People continue to talk about destiny because people see the potential there. People want it to be better and they know that it can be.
