There is SO much people don’t know. 1. Pinnacles are not always +2. a. Standard playlist pinnacles are all +1. b. Pinnacles like the weekly mission, 100K NF, Preservation, Vox, etc. are typically +2. c. I have seen +3 drop in Dungeon/Raids but nothing that I recall as usual. 2. Some pinnacles will always drop in a specific slot. a. Dares pinnacles will almost always be weapons, I’ve never seen otherwise. b. Preservation pinnacles tend to be armor … but not at the 100% consistency that Dares is always a weapon. 3. Over a given period of time … ALL PINNACLES are designed to lean towards dropping in the same spot. This is the most important thing to understand. If you do ALL your pinnacles in a two-hour time period they will ALL tend to drop in the same slot. This IS by design. a. If you sped 30 minutes to do your Vanguard pinnacle and a Class Item drops and then you go right to your Gambi pinnacle … it will overwhelmingly be set to drop in that Class Item slot again. b. If you do all your Irritable Bowel pinnacles in a few runs and cash them all in at once … they will all like tend to drop in the same spot. c. This tendency to drop in the same slot over a given period of time has been talked about and acknowledged by our buds at bungo for a long while, but for some reason it is still not widely available knowledge nor is it discussed by all the orally flatulent talking heads infesting youtube and discord. d. Staggering your pinnacles and doing other activities in-between will help immensely with the frustration of repeated same drop slot pins. 4. Pinnacles don’t drop at +1, +2, or +3 of the slot they land in … they drop at + your overall max calculated gear level. This is why keeping your gear balanced in power level is so important. But … but … but Rhino … how can I become uber l33t if bungo doesn’t want me to level and gives me all my knuckles all in the same spot? (insert image of crying person here) Doing the following has improved my pinnacle experience immeasurably. 1. Stagger your pins over the course of the week … or more efficiently over the course of your play time for that week. Most of you play 20 hours a day so this isn’t an issue. If someone here reading this accidentally has a job or something where you don’t play 20 hours a day. Do you best to not just butt rush your weekly pins. 2. Wait to pick up or cash your pins in when you need them. This applies mostly to the weekly Clan pin. It’s +2 and rando slot but tends to somehow fall where it is needed. The rest of the rewards will drop as powerfuls which can be used to even out gear levels. 3. If you re gear level 1550 but you have three pieces of gear that are 1552 … DON’T DO A +1 PINNACLE ... It will drop at 1551. a. If you are all over the map with your gear as far as power level, which can often happen, use your Season pass to pull out gear. This is SUPER helpful when your gear power level is higher than a few slots. 4. Do more than just the playlist pins. “Bu7 Rh1n0 I’|\/| l33t 50lo p14y4!” … no problem skippy … even if you’re a solo player and just can’t ever even ever do a dungeon or raid … you still have 10 pins a week you can do with just the game matchmaking. Sure, you might need to run the weekly or the 100K on Heroic a few times to get them … and there are a few 100K’s that are so easy you can’t get that score on Heroic, but typically you can. 5. Iron Banner has four pins every time it is in rotation. The drops are generally very good and even people who HATE the PVP like me can get them completed in a few hours. 6. Try LFG to do a dungeon. Xbox has a great LFG system. PS has a crappy LFG system. Discord servers have LFG’s for everyone. Most pick-up groups should be able to roll through encounters like Grasp of Avarice in an hour. You generally get nice drops from some of these. With all of the regurgitating youtube wagging tongues out there you should be able to find a few videos to get you started on them. You should make an effort to know what to do (KWTD) before starting the encounter. 7. Exotics drop at your gear power level. If you have a lot of gaps in your gear power run 100K’s on heroic and pack on some exotics you can use to infuse your gear up or just to have on you. More times that not a stupid exotic drop has saved my bacon and evened out my gear … you just need to have the guts to infuse with a pinnacles lol. 8. Most importantly just relax for cripes sake … go outside and blow vape clouds or get a $26 latte from your favorite rip off joint with the manbun in a flannel apron behind the counter if you’re frustrated. It just a game … its not worth stroking out over before you’re old enough to grow short and curlies.

We do have pinnacle protection, but only when you space out pinnacle drops. Maybe it’s just me, and I’d love to hear other people’s experiences with this, but whenever I get multiple pinnacles in the same day they always end up being duplicate slots. However if I only get a single pinnacle a day they are all usually in the slots I need pinnacles in.
