For some time, I did want to try and improve my movement in PvP, being more effective in using sliding and jumping.
Tho I often felt confused about where to start and ending up sliding rather randomly. I did try to use it as I was told before; to cross places with long sidelines more secure, tho I still don't feel like I'm doing it right.
And as for jumping; I still mainly use it to cross over elevation. And I'm always fearful that being in the air makes me a better target.
As much as I hate having to ask for help (it makes me feel like a total -blam!- who can't get even the basics right without handholding), I'd like to ask for any kind of advice on the matter.
(and please, explain in simple terms for stupid me)
And to clarify: I am last gen console Titan main (Void or Solar), using near default controller layout (for the sake of convenience)
If you bind your slide to right thumbstick press instead of using b/circle, I promise your gameplay, especially shotgunning, will almost instantly improve once you get accustomed to it. The ability to slide (and jump and swap weapons but I don't have any good rebinds for those) without taking your thumb off your aim stick is super important if you're going to keep up with mobile players. As for when to slide, I mostly use it to engage/disengage faster and pretty much any time I want to keep moving in one direction while changing where I'm looking.
