Why do think :)
Guardian games coming up, brand new eververse refresh, gotta spend that silver.
Did you see the roadmap thing the dev showed on Twitter and the metrics bungie watch daily, stuff like player retention, playtime. Etc n it all had growth, say +7% etc. Well the bottom one was microtransaction sales, and despite WQ selling over 1 million copies, the metric showed -4.4%, so people aren't spending as much anymore. N yes WQ is classed as a microtransaction as it's a digital sale. A dev once said on twitter, after yearly projected profit from micros was 300m , that the 300m included beyond sales as the expansions are digital only now, so classed as micros

I was completing triumphs and wondering when tf triumphs awarded 75 bright dust, call me crazy but I’m pretty sure they were a few hundred each before witch queen. Now I see why 30th anniversary have bright dust away, because they’re ere planning on doing this
Well the bottom one was microtransaction sales, and despite WQ selling over 1 million copies, the metric showed -4.4%, so people aren't spending as much anymore.
Not quite, that last column was percent difference from the forecast, so all we know for sure is that the actual numbers were slightly lower than what they had forecast. If they had forecast a huge increase in MTX sales, then the growth was not as great as expected, but still good. If they had forecast a huge drop, then things turned out worse than they expected.
N yes WQ is classed as a microtransaction as it's a digital sale.
Also wrong, probably, as the first item in the gross revenue section was expansion sales, which is almost certainly sales of WQ and other expansions. I can't imagine what else it could be.

I should have added that your overall point is probably correct. They are trying to push us to MTX, it's just been a longer term project. It's why they got rid of Eververse bounties that gave bright dust, why they reduced the amount we get from vendor challenges, why the amount we get from repeatable bounties is so meager. They want to appear generous with Bright Dust while making the process of getting it obnoxious enough that a significant amount of players will just choose to buy silver instead.
