Or you can always install an operating system that was released at least in the last decade ( you must be using win 7 since nobody in their right mind uses or used windows 8).

This issue has nothing to do with the operating system and everything to do with Bungie. If it is the operating system then what is it that Bungie is fixing with windows? It's their programming just as it was on the last release. By the way, I will be upgrading. When Bungie no longer supports windows 7, then your suggestion would have some merit!
