The exotic glaives have immense potential but their current functionality, even after the required shot reduction, conflicts their utility forecasted by the community. Poking fun at a game addition like this can't go without a potential solution being brought to the table so this is what I have in mind. In the exotic glaive's current state, transferring the Parasite's exotic perk "Worm's Hunger" and applying the same theoretical structure to these exotic glaives could wildly make them more effective. To elaborate further, making the defeat of enemy combatants from any weapon system or ability actively charges the specialized shot from the glaives. This change could vastly make them more powerful, sought after, and readily equipped.
NOTE: An obvious change would be the amount of energy gain from a weapon/ability defeat would be inferior to the energy gain acquired from direct glaive defeats.
These glaive weapons have so much potential that it pains me to see that same potential squandered in the current cycle of the game. The game is phenomenal but these glaives that were undoubtedly deeply invested into have received little positive recognition. this aforementioned idea I think could bring them to shine bright for the player base. We want to use them but don't entirely find them up to speed with other weapon systems/abilities currently in place. The parasite is other-worldly and applications of that weapon's perks as an intrinsic function of these glaives will resolve many problems from the perspective seen on this "side of the fence".
I would greatly appreciate feedback from the community/any reviewing entity at bungie to see if this falls in line with the core beliefs or gameplay currently in place at bungie.
