I mean there’s also the theory from some of the lore from last year (Splicer I believe) that she may be dead.

Confirmed that Lady Efrideet is still alive. There is no mention of her beyond the cosmos ghost shell post red war, however. I wouldn't expect her to stay in the wind for too long. With Saladin being part of Caitl faction now? There's a chance we could see a new Iron Banner vendor which I would welcome.

The sidearm theory has already been disproven. The token name "She willed their knowledge of Misraaks to her fingertips." The actual person most likely being mentioned is Mithrax's daughter, Eido, who is believed to be the one referenced there. The cosmos ghost shell is the only lore specifically naming Lady Efrideet who survived the red war.

Wrong Sidearm buddy, referring to the Farewell Sidearm. The one that not only mentions Efrideet in the description but whose lore tab seems to contain the story of her partner and shows us that the Eliksni who had been given the sidearm could not find her within the City. Which is slightly concerning, but I doubt has anything to do with her being dead and more so has to do with her returning to her old group. It never directly stated she’s the one being addressed, but the theory still holds in some circles until we hear anything about her.

Farewell sidearm- Efrideet quote, loads of Eliksni quotes. No real dialogue confirming alive, dead, or otherwise. POV is efrideet as I can't see anyone else being a diplomat and warrior out by venus, however, timeline would indicate efrideet during Red War as lightless. This is simply a lost recording we are simply hearing after a long journey to earth and a reference to jovian pacifists for that person she loves to find her. Cosmos Shell timeline is post Red War at the end.
The one that not only mentions Efrideet in the description but whose lore tab seems to contain the story of her partner and shows us that the Eliksni who had been given the sidearm could not find her within the City.
It's a letter on a flight recorder in case something goes awry. It isn't a description post Red War. It's going into the lightless portion of it. I have zero doubt Bungie has kept her involved while getting rid of others for future content.

Depends on your interpretation of events. If you believe that it is Efrideet, then it paints a fairly bleak picture. Her significant other is missing or dead and the events described are simply what she got up to between the outset of the Red War and the ending, where she personally witnessed the Traveler free itself. On the other hand if you interpret it to not be Efrideet and instead be another party, then things falls apart if the subject is meant to be Efrideet. Main reason? Why would this individual feel the need to inform Efrideet of a pacifist colony she was already a part of previously? More than likely that this is Efrideet, in which case we know where she is and that she has effectively redoubled her retirement from fighting. She’s given up and extends an invitation to someone she likely met in the year she was tasked with running the Iron Banner in the place of Saladin, someone who would not know of this colony. Note I never said I ascribed to the theory, merely thought it was prudent to bring it up. But the actual interpretation of the passage makes it seem more like Shin’s final letter, a bowing out of sorts.
