The quest is over and theres nothing new. Feels like it ended really early, twice as quickly as normal. Is that really just it?
It is.
Saladin is a cabal now and you went to a pyramid to fight some guy who isn’t really explained why he’s in there with his minions and he’s supposed to be powerful. Somehow? Traveler space magic?. It’s Just sort of tacked on to the story at the end there because bungie promised us a raid.
That’s all folks.

Rhulk is perfectly explained within the post campaign content. Hell, even before the worlds first opened up the preservation mission me and my team were able to gather enough about his character from the environmental storytelling and dialogue to be invested. That’s without even talking about the lore tabs and lore book delving into that exact subject.
Rhulk’s story is very much explained from the lore entries and dialogue.
But not in the campaign story which ends with queen bees death. Bungie once again proving how useless they are with “don’t forget to read this book” in game” mentality when it comes to any sort of story continuity. Try harder bungie shill.

Do the post campaign mission that literally explains that the consequence of killing savathun was that the pyramid is not secure now, so we have to go in and clear out scorn from the pyramid. At the end of the mission there are lots that is rhulk telling his own story. And there is no excuse to not read the lore in game other than lazyness. I guess being a “bungie shill” means paying attention to the very easy to understand story, that was built through the campaign, the birthplace of the vile strike, and then the raid. Suppose everything has to be dumbed down to dark below levels, crota bad go kill him, and there can’t be a narrative built over time. Moron

I love how you tie the 10$ seasons story with the raids, as if they're the same story somehow. But for real here, rhulks storys pretty amazing. Raids have now been this "here's this random antagonist!" For a little bit now, the last out of raid buildup we've gotten was riven, but I love Rhulk and his whole arc. He's the perfect character to feature as a raid boss with impressive background lore.
