No.
Hunter should get an exotic for glaives.
Let titan keep their knightly swords.
Give hunters the assassin tool gloves for glaive.
Backstabs do double damage...you can hold gaurd longer.
Saying sword are like glaives is like saying scout rifles are like auto rifles.
Also fun fact...on stasis...aspect of rending affects glaive melee because its kinetic...so throw a duskfield on a major or champion or boss and do more melee damage.

I'd say give a glaive exotic to warlocks that with the shield you can reflect projectiles and damaging enemies with reflected projectiles provide shield energy. Shield Duration increased. So this means warlocks have a way to reflect projectiles and an exotic that ties to a certain weapon type. I would personally imagine these would be gauntlets

Backstabs do double damage...you can hold gaurd longer.[/quote] You yourself asked for an assassin exotic, which doesn't work literally at all with the purpose of a glaive. A glaive is also not a spear. It's a sword blade on a stick, which gives it extra weight and removes it's ability to be efficiently thrown and swung or stabbed with one hand. I don't think I can see hunters charging into a group of enemies to dismember them with a big two handed weapon. A staff, ok fine. A normal spear meant for chucking, that makes sense. A glaive, no.

You do realise there are different spears right... Short and long. Also.. spear is a long pole with a sharp end.. Glaive is a pole with a sharp end. Both can be thrown easily...the glaive even more so because of its flat blade it will keep in the air longer. Also...it fits hunter more because the arcstaff is literally a glaive in its model.... with 1 sharp end .

작성자: DuBChiri2 3/13/2022 5:26:03 AMJust because they are similar weapons doesn't make them the same thing. A glaive is not a thrown weapon, it's used to pierce, slash, and at times be used to remove enemy weaponry from their hands via a hook. The hunters arc staff isn't a glaive, it has a pointed end to it more similar to that of a spear on both ends but it is small and light enough to be one handed which designates it as a staff (as a spear is also not two sided). I literally told you what Wikipedia says a glaive is. It's a sword blade on a stick, which is what gives them extra mass and makes them more difficult to wield with one hand. Obviously I know there's different types of spears, but most old day "hunters" used lightweight spears that can be thrown. Having a flat blade would not make it fly better than a pointed end that's rounded lol. Football's are designed the way they are for a reason. A flat blade would need to be utilized more like a frisbee, which is why even in Destiny we swing it like a blade, BECAUSE IT IS ONE. To put it much more simply, a glaive is a sword and spear hybrid. Has the power and capabilities of a sword with the length of a spear. You can find this information by googling it instead of just making stuff up.

Yes. Footballs are designed to be more flat than round like a soccer ball because then they fly better. Because flatter things are more aerodynamic. Why else do you think plane wings are flat? Because flat and thin flies better than a rounded object. Also arcstrider's weapon is a glaive. The first D2 trailers even had developers say that the arcstaf is designed like a glaive. You can keep complaining however you want...the fact remains that a glaive is a perfect fit for hunters because it is literally one of their supers. It isnt a magic wand or made out of energy like something for warlock. It is also not a shield or hammer or sword like something for titans. They could make something for all 3 classes like aeons where every class has a glaive focus. Titan has the gaurd. Warlock the shooting. And hunter the stabbing.

Glaive and spear.. spear would be better for a thrown object then the glaive given how the glaive is way heavier in the front while the spear is better for aerodynamics because it’s flat and rounded because just being flat doesn’t mean it’s better planes may have flat wings but it’s also the body of the plane that can give it flight

작성자: DuBChiri2 3/13/2022 6:21:48 AMI'm sorry but this is just wrong. A glaive would be thrown more akin in to frisbee, using the blade to cut through the air like an airplane. We don't make the wings rounded like a bullet or football because we can't control it that way. Fyi, things that rotate to pierce through the air are ALSO part of aero dynamics. Please look it up.

Who said we throw it in a spiral? You just throw it straight. Do you even know why hoverplanes keep flying? Because they have wings that extend to the sides..like the blade on the glaive. Try throwing a normal straight stick and then a stick with a flat blade /piece of cardboard wedged in and see which flies better. It will be the one with the flat blade on it 10 out of 10 times. This has even been tested on BASIC science programs on TV. Like the spearthrowing in the olympics...they tested those spears vs those same spear but with small pieces of plywood/cardboard on the side of the staff near the tip. And it flew MUCH longer. Thats how basic aerodynamics work. Flat surface= lift. Like you said. There is a reason they made footballs that shape...its because its flatter than a normal soccer ball so it flies better.

작성자: DuBChiri2 3/13/2022 8:09:42 AMI'm speaking to much like I actually know. I do not think the shape of the head of a glaive, due to it's width and length, would be an effective tool for throwing like a javelin or spear. But i don't know why the hell i started talking about this...my point is that a glaive is not just a spear. A glaive has different purposes, weight, and length than that a character class that likes lighter weaponry would use. A glaive is obviously a polearm, but so is a halberd and that too I could never see a hunter use. -blam!- that took too long to say.

A quarter staff isn't a glaive. Different lengths and weight. The skills would translate to the glaive, but it's not a great weapon for lightweight fighting like the quarter staff is. I guess weight probably doesn't matter in a futuristic game...

작성자: BITCOINxMILLIONAIRE 3/13/2022 12:49:36 AMthis would fit with titans and could work in a similar way that actium war rig works with autos & lmgs. but I think warlocks should get an exotic that is specific for a weapon. hunters have- lucky pants oathkeepers mech. tricksleeves for sidearms titans have actium war rig peacekeepers stronghold warlocks don't have anything specific
-
They dont need to. You give every gun quickdraw and snapshot and max reload speed and get increased melee range. I'd give up oathkeepers and tricksleeves for that easily. I'd give up 90% of all hunter exotics up for that. All of them except assasin's cowl lucky pants. Liars handshake . And frostees. And maybe the new stasis gauntlets.
