The mentor provided the facts. No one can help you but yourself. To use the season pass you have you will have to use the account characters that bought the pass. If you had activated cross save and then bought the pass then it would have been applied to the active characters.

Makes no difference. If you want to use that pass you need to deactivate cross save and start creating characters on that account. Dlc licences are controlled by the platform providers and as such they don't transfer. The season passes are controlled by Bungie. As such due to cross save and players wanting the pass on those characters no matter the platform Bungie attached the pass to the active characters at the time of purchase. No characters just means it's sitting there ready to be used on any characters created as if you are just starting to play D2.

Thanks for your patience in explaining. This would result in me not being able to turn on cross-save again for 90 days, which I don't think makes sense. Bungie should have detailed buying guidelines, otherwise it will significantly increase the entry barrier for new players. Or there is another solution to force me to cancel the cross save without waiting 90 days.

Please do a search for "Cross save issues" on Bungie.net or the Destiny app to bring up a help guide. At the end of the day if you choose to deactivate cross save there is no way around the 90 day cooldown period. Bungie will also not transfer the season pass to a different accounts characters.
