Who else took off work for this!?
I requested 2 months ago to take this day off. I went over loadouts, weapons, and mods with my team.
Please imagine how it feels to hear the confidence leave fireteam members that you put together, as you continue to get disconnected again and again with baboon errors.
Only to finally log on and see them playing with other people. I paid $100 for Witch Queen Bungie. I’m completely heartbroken. I didn’t have a chance to get a true experience of the raid. I feel cheated out of my money and I was robbed out of so many hours of preparation that I can’t get back.
I didn’t deserve this.

6 답변I don’t understand why people take days off for a game. Always wonder what the excuse given. “Hey boss. New raid is out on this day. Can I play?” Sucks everyone was having issues. But, it is Bungie. Pretty standard with their drops, and if any of the last drops of activities were any kind of sign. Well.

Bruh I’ve played this game for years, the one thing Ive learned when it gets to raids and content is to never ever take the day off the very same day said content or raid comes out. Disconnections and other BS happens all the time, its never going to change especially when everyone is trying to log in and do the same activity. I cant understand why anyone would take off work for a video game but to each their own, I’m a nobody on the internet at the end of the day. If you really need to take a day off, always do it the day AFTER the release of a raid or a new expansion. If you can do it on a weekday then its even better because the game will be less crowded due to children going to school and other adults working so the servers are light and will give you less of a chance at having server issues or disconnects.

1 답변I played for 11 hours Saturday without a single error code for anyone in our fireteam. I will say that a single weak player in your fireteam will make contest mode on the first day next to impossible.

This is bungie's fault? Bungie was supposed to keep your team together and make sure that they played with you? Also when you took off did you use vacation time or some sort of PTO? Because the lot of you act like you took off from work and it was unpaid. I don't understand why you think people need to feel sorry for you. This is of course assuming you took PTO. And don't get it twisted, I still don't feel sorry for you if you took off from work and it was unpaid. This is a video game, it's a want not a need.

Throughout my times in Destiny I've learned 2 Things if you're a PvE guy. 1: Never play a new expansion Day 1. The servers will literally die and Bungie will spend half the day on panic mode trying to stabilize everything while you either get error codes from all the animals or sit in queue for hours on end. 2: Never Try for World's First Races. If there's anything that can do wrong, it most definitely will and I am not about to waste my time just to get error coded out of the raid or happen onto some glitch that soft locks the encounter. The moment you lose a good portion of teams due to error codes, your "world's first" title means nothing.

I took a day off the day after WQ launched. I expected delays and bugs. I would do the same for the raid if I had 5 friends. Alas I shall learn it like I learnt every other raid, on video. Not saying this can't be improved, just trying to be stoic about it

No way!! Why would I even think to do that?? Why would ANYONE think to do that??

But you were getting baboon errors. That’s a local error. The fact that your team was able to play without you kind of confirms the locality. [b]Baboon is typically fixed by using port forwarding. And not relying on wifi.[/b] Yes yes yea, we alllll know. “But my other games run fine”. Doesn’t matter. Bungie had bad net code that is SUPER sensitive to the whole port forwarding thing on some routers. They extended day 1 rewards by 24 hours due to the snafu. And the raid won’t be going anywhere after that.
