Bungie has always strived to keep the numbers out of perk descriptions. Outlaw simply “Increases reload speed,” ambitious assassin “overflows the magazine.”
Bungie’s delivery of perk descriptions has enabled misinformation to become rampant in the Destiny community. 2021 rampage and 2018 rampage look the same, have the exact same description, yet aren’t the same at all.
Bungie needs to give us the information. Tell us what our perks do, give us the numbers.
But most importantly, go back and rewrite the perk descriptions that are flat out lies, or misleading.
A perk description shouldn’t be some vague hand waved (often misleading) nonsense. Give us the numbers.
How many sources of “increased damage” do we have? NONE of them tell you their value in game.
Why?

Perks don’t have specific percentages in their description, sure. That’d be nice to have. But they’re extremely clear with what they’re doing lmao. I’ve never once felt misinformed with the perks in this game.

작성자: Spicy Water 2/9/2022 7:55:36 PMThis post is misinformation. Vague descriptions that outline what a perk does without going into each specific numerical effect given by the perk does not make them “flat out lies, or misleading”. The perks do what they say. If you’re that curious, damage numbers literally pop up when you shoot things, it’s not that hard to figure out for yourself. You’ve become the very thing you swore to complain about in a video game forum. Ratio.

4 답변Can you name one perk that has a "flat out lie" for a description? Not a link to a three and a half hour video, if I wanted to spend that amount if time watching something I'd sit through Titanic. Just give me the name of a perk to back your claim.

5 답변The absence of fine detail isn't misinformation. Not one perk lies to you about what it does either.

No, any perk that has been changed is and always outlined in a twab, rampage doesn’t do as much dmg as it used too, common knowledge, another piece of common knowledge s that the rampage on huckleberry retains the old values, you watch a video of opinion and believe something someone says? There are plenty of videos on the internet “proving the earth is flat”, we know the earth isn’t flat but round and slightly oblong, but I bet you’re so gullible that you’d believe a flat earth theorist.

Perk descriptions are fine. You want people to click on a video. Well I find nothing wrong with perk descriptions, so no need to watch a video. Good luck with your complaints. Bungie has always made “vague” descriptions, because what if they need to adjust slightly, then they need to re-word a perk in game too.

Well rampage caught a nerf, which is why it does less than it did in 2017/2018. It still increases damage and stacks up to 3x. You just don’t know how much damage just by looking at the perk description. It would be nice to have more transparency. But sometimes it comes to how much space is Bungie going to take up on the screen to go into detail what each perk does, and at every tier/stack of the perk. So I’d say leave it as they have it with perk descriptions on the weapons. BUT have/add a full index for perks in the game to the collections section. Where you can select a perk and see a full write up of how it works, what triggers it and when, and how much stats are influenced and for how long.

NONE of them tell you their value in game.
this is to allow changes to the perk without having to go back and change the descriptions. Nerfs and buffs happen. Currently they can make the change, typically on the back end and bam, done. Your system would require hot patches and download everything a perk was modified. Too much unneeded work load for a miniscule benefit.
A perk description shouldn’t be some vague hand waved (often misleading) nonsense. Give us the numbers.
None of the perks are misleading, just because you do not know a percentage or number does not mean it is misleading. A perk that increases damage could do so by .004% and still be considered accurate.
But most importantly, go back and rewrite the perk descriptions that are flat out lies, or misleading.
Have yet to see one that is a lie, and before you waste your time, I am not watching some youtube link for 3 hours to support your claim, and yes, by making this post you are making the claim. So if you want to support your claim, feel free to list one perk description that is a lie, clearly you have watched that monstrosity of a video and are knowledgeable in its content...unless you are blindly pimping a content creator and trying to chase clout.

2 답변I do wish there were numbers, but tbh, I feel as though the numbers don’t really matter as much as you’re making it out to.

Except most of the perk descriptions are fine. You know what you need to know. Really there is no reason to know the numbers of the damage boost or whatever. If you care that much, look it up or test it yourself. Also, that isn’t misinformation (trust me, I’m writing a paper on misinformation for one of my college classes)

10 답변If it’s such a big deal use d2 gunsmith to look at perk descriptions. Every perk is pretty straightforward and does exactly what is said in game. A causal player doesn’t need to see that rampage x3 is a 33% damage buff. They only care that it buffs damage and bungie is ok with that.
