They were simply at the top of their society....a society that was built upon a lie. They were prepared to ANNIHILATE an entire species simply to preserve their power. So if they were willing to exterminate humans in the name of power....why wouldn't they work with one that was willing to help them do it? Use him now...kill him later. 4. You can get away with doing things in storytelling in video games and novels that you can't get away with in a TV show. The medium is different and audience expectations are different

Typical Hollywood. Buy the rights to a story, use the title and then ignore the plot and change all the characters. Obviously the producers think that Bungie made a crap game that they needed to fix. There was a book that I read as a kid called Swallows and Amazons. They made a movie of it with a man chasing the kids on a train and shooting at them. In the book; no train, no gun, no guy and no chase. Ridiculous.

Why make a halo show, if it is barely halo? Several producers and team leads quit on this show too. And others have declared that after its launch they want nothing to do with it. An animated series like the clone wars or something would have been better, and they wouldn’t have to follow the chief. They could easily go with so many different groups during the human covenant war. It’s going to flop, then they blame the “toxic fans” and say “halo never had a story to work with”. It’s a shame.

Wasn't there going to be a show directed by Steven Spielberg at one point?

It's Halo's "Star Wars sequels", written by people who have no real idea what they should or shouldn't do, but are doing it their way anyhow.
