Bungie will not under any circumstances remove the lock-out period. This is implemented as a security measure. At every step of the un-linking process, it informs you that you will be locked if you carry on.
PLEASE NOTE
If players disable their Cross-Save for any reason they will have to wait out the Silver lockout or the 90-day lockout before they can enable Cross-Save again. There are no exceptions to this policy.
I understand that, but as a software developer, I don't believe that they would create a system that they could not override. plus the system is an all or nothing, so if you make a mistake then you are locked out of the game for 3 months, which is a bit unfair

Do a search for "Cross save issues" on Bungie.net or the Destiny app to bring up a help guide which covers all of this. The cooldown period is there for a reason which at the end of the day is a deterrent from players doing certain activities... thus means the cooldown needs to be a extended one not a couple of days. Also Bungie is forced to do a zero tolerance policy on these matter as people in the past have shown they are willing to abuse Bungie's good will. So they help you then then need to do the same for the next person and the next and then people would do exactly what the cooldown is there to be a deterrent from doing and expect Bungie to clean up their mess.

I 100% agree with what you are saying and it is my mistake and I will have to deal with the block, but I was taught that if you don't ask you will never know. Plus I hope that Bungie will look at the system and allow you to remove a single account , yes before some one say it , I know it is a long shot
