what would happen if one of them somehow god rid of their worms, since from what i know the worms keep making them have to “feed” them by killing things so in a hypothetical situation where one does manage to do so, wouldn’t that just mean that they can bide their time instead of having to sustain an entire killing sistem? (this again comes from someone who doesnt know the lore and definitely not a vex)

Without the worms, Hive can only live for about ten years. So they can’t really bide their time that way. The purpose of the Worm Pact was to trick the Hive. They helped the Worm Gods escape and set loose the Darkness. Together they killed off an entire galaxy. Eventually, when there is nothing left to kill, the Worm Pact will kill the Hive. As they can no longer feed their Worms and will be consumed by them. The Winnower will likely take a crack at killing them at that point as well.

1 답변Baby hive don't have worms, they have to reach a certain size before they undergo a ritual to get their worm. Also as far as we know, there is 1 krill (proto hive) still out there. I forget it's name, but it was the advisor to the osmium king and the one responsible for his death which led to the 3 siblings seeking the worms and becoming hive.

We're about to find that out by the end of Season of the Lost. The only guaranteed thing we know is that they no longer have to worry about their worm's hunger, but we don't know if it comes at the cost of any of their powers or abilities. Based off of the Witch Queen trailers though, they can at least keep their throne worlds.
