Gonna keep this short because I imagine the comments will be long.
In my humble opinion, we really don’t need both trials and survival in the same game.
Honestly, if I was the director of the game I would advocate to rip the rewards out of trials and sink it. Give its rewards to survival, use survivals SBMM as the basis for a new ranked competitive mode, awarding trials gear.
Essentially take the strengths of both, and amalgamate them into one.
Why bother having two high end pvp modes, when they are both having population problems?
Trials, elimination and survival, 3 ways to play the same game type, but only one has rewards, another has SBMM, and the third has nothing at all.
Reduce fluff, condense.

Survival have population problem because it hasnt been updated in years No new loots No new armors No new cosmetics Nothing It just had maps and quests removed XD. Trials is in a good state when it comes yo population tough its pretty healthy on that part

작성자: Demon_XXVII 11/30/2021 5:27:49 PMSurvival & Elimination are two SBMM modes that should always be part of PvP They work as part of the learning curve & give players a chance to compete within their KDA parameters There is a place for Trials too (for the very top tier players) & should only ever be SBMM/Rank/Tier based across season & annual DLC But way too much emphasis is based on Trials (2 years of messing without a plan) Which should always be the cherry on a fabulous baked PvP cake Starting with 5vs5 (max number) in QP, Bigger & NEW maps (not just D1 reskins) Returning DCV maps for alternate Glory Playlist (to add variety) Adept (Iron Forged) Weapons in Iron Banner etc ….

Besides, survival is way more relaxed than playing quickplay or trials. Well, thats what it feels like to me. Some might dissagree tho

4 답변Comps a good place to practice against good players and not care about the result 🤷🏻♂️

2 답변Scrap comp , Turn Trials into survival and call it a day. SBMM won't work..........the bulk of the community are 0.8 - 1.2 ish in KDA so it doesn't solve anything......UNLESS Bungie re evaluates how your KDA is calculated.

29 답변I mean, you can easily have both. Restricting options is never really great when you can easily keep variety by just having proper reasons to play the other things. Survival just needs to have some loot to chase, rather than having nothing but a title nobody cares about and a catalyst for a bad gun.

4 답변Strong disagree. Imo elim and comp are where you goto practice to get better for trials. Suggesting removing the rewards from trials to put into comp suggests to me that you just dont like trials and struggle in that playlist

I disagree. I like having competitive 3v3 pvp available all week. Too many maps feel claustrophobic in 6v6 and constant 6 stacks makes qp even worse. I pretty much only play comp and showdown other than trials on the weekend.

11 답변Elim and survival are essentially practice grounds for trials. The way survival works now is weird and doesn't make much sense. We have a ranked playlist where rank doesn't go hand in hand with skill. I have seen 0.7 kd unbroken players that grinded survival and made it to max rank numerous times. In that case, rank becomes superfluous. You either have rank and match players based on their ranking or you have sbmm and match based on Bungies CR algorithm.

8 답변A majority people probably like trials more than survival. Survival should have some sort of incentive though. Even if they aren't endgame level. The reason there's no survival complaints is because its not something the majority of the playerbase is playing right now.
