Thanks for the feedback, but the point of it was to bring back an aspect of the Warden's Law Double-Fire frame in a unique way. I get the oversaturation of HCs, but there is also only 1 void 140, and only 1 energy exotic. This would fill that missing void (pun intended).

I get that, but exotic HC are already far and away the most abundant in terms of exotics. Maybe a bow, Scout, Pulse, etc. That already have numerous “voids”.
I would be fine with it just being legendary with toned down effects too.
Oh yeah, I get that. But I also don't think an exotic should change forms just because there are already so many of one type. I have a ton of fun ideas with other weapon types, so I'll try to post a few of those as well.
The think I am concerned with it being other types is that a bow would make it too similar to Le Monarch, an explosive round pulse is just a terrible idea for PvP, and other types just shoot too fast to have this. A scout could work, but I specifically made it a hand cannon to call back to the Warden Law's Double-Fire frame.
If a legendary hand cannon had both explosive and timed payloads, it would basically be that toned down version you are thinking of, and I would have a blast (pun intended again) with that.
