Hi!
I recently redownloaded the game and have been grinding it out since.
I bought the Battlepass so I had spent Silver on this account.
I saw Cross Save was a thing and went to enable it since I have an old character on Xbox.
Read the warning about how Silver would make it so I would have to wait 90 days but would rather play on my old character for the nostalgia and gear.
When I logged onto my new character I saw that everything got wiped, so I wanted to switch back, but of course I have to wait 83 days.
Any possibility of disabling Cross Save so I can play on the character I've been grinding out? I don't have the drive to start from scratch again and will probably just quit otherwise.
Just to clarify things a bit. Nothing was wiped from your Xbox account. You simply had not ever played Destiny 2 on your Xbox account previously, and were likely thinking of your Destiny 1 game history. As everyone starts fresh in D2, even if playing on an account that had played D1, what you are seeing on that account is correct.
As you are already aware, silver purchases come with a 90 day lockout from the date of purchase. Until your lockout period has elapsed, you will not be able to deactivate cross-save. Your Steam account shows approximately 16hrs played, so while you are losing some initial progress, in the Destiny universe, this is quite easily regained.
Whether you decide to stay with the game or not, is completely up to you. It is unfortunate that you did not notice the lack of character data for your Xbox account, during the activation process.
