Not the first time, and prob not the last in Destiny considering how Bungie dont seem to take QoL seriously in this game.
However, Blue items should automatically delete before going to postmaster.
Ran two haunted missions to return to the Helm to check Jurassic Rolls and to find that the 50 shards and 10 Golf balls that were sitting there where simply deleted to make way for some blue items.
Now, it is what it is. Each character I have has max shards and golf balls in inventory. However some form of protection against idiotic trash items, overriding end game materials cause it is sent to postmaster is flawed.
Coupled with the fact we cannot store them in a 500 space vault which is always borderline full. Makes it more frustrating.
Storage and QoL is in dire need of some aid for WQ.
EDIT***
For all the absolute trolls and degenerates that make up a big portion of the community. At no point did I say I use post master as inventory. The post is about how blue items override valuable end game ones in post master which is absurd. Having a tiny bit of code that recognizes that this trash blue isnt as valuable as a golf ball or shard so it should auto delete, is not hard to introduce.
EDIT 2***
Also had zero notification to say that postmaster was full. So thats a thing as well.
EDIT 3***
I am actually amazed at the amount of negativity here. 'Post master isnt storage!!!!' 'Thats a YOU problem'.
Why would we not, as a gaming community, want some form of protection for exotic, high end material that you accumulate and try attain and keep whilst jostling with this inadequate, archaic inventory system. it is actually blowing my mind, how people just dont want that.
EDIT 4***
THIS IS NOT A POST COMPLAINING ABOUT USING POST MASTER AS STORAGE AND LOSING ITEMS. IT IS ABOUT HOW THERE IS NO ITEM PROTECTION WITHIN POSTMASTER AND BLUES CAN SIMPLY ERASE ANYTHING IN YOUR POST MASTER REGARDLESS OF HOW VALUABLE IT IS.
EDIT 5***
I am well aware of DIM, the phone app and so forth as ways to manage your inventory. However, I play predominantly on console, linked to a tv, so I lounge my -blam!- off and play. IF I wanted to sit and play with 3 monitors and all apps open so I can min max inventory. Then I'd go buy a inventory management sim game and have a whale of a time.
The notion that in order to continue playing the game for a duration without worrying about losing valuable things because of blue items. Is to either constantly return to the tower and take me away from grinding cause I have to manually delete 20+ blues. Run to my computer, get DIM online so I can check rolls and move items around, then run back to my sofa. Or use the app to transfer things over which is glitchy as hell and doesnt work most of the time when trying to transfer items.
I have played many MMO's and Looter Shooters and never been in a position of having to download anything to manage my gameplay and inventory. That includes games like EVE Online were I used to manage billions of in-game currency worth of resources for corporations. The way it was managed was easy and simple and built into the game.

2 답변Had to give you the upvote because yes, certain items definitely should take priority for those who make longer stretches between Kadi visits. With that said...
Ran two haunted missions to return to the Helm to check Jurassic Rolls and to find that the 50 shards and 10 Golf balls that were sitting there where simply deleted to make way for some blue items.
Seriously, why? I just ran 4 back to back Haunted Sectors and had nothing but candy at the postmaster. I have a minimum of 3 spots open for each gear slot and delete the crap between runs. I do use DIM and actually did gab a couple things from Kadi with it while between runs. Again, yes there should be prioritization with the postmaster but you also have to manage your stuff properly at the same time (ESPECIALLY considering how it is set up right now).

2 답변Much agreed, I don’t understand the negativity either. I think the negativity might come from the people that haven’t lost things to the postmaster. It’s seriously frustrating, and hey, why would you not advocate for being able to hold more of your hard-earned materials?

7 답변작성자: TheShadow 10/21/2021 3:57:52 AMI like post like this. It brings out the best in players that think playing the game half the time running back and forth the tower is a good thing 😂 Put the postmaster in the directory. Problem literally solved.

For me, the problem is how quickly blue gear and umbrals are piled into our inventories. I usually have 5 or less items in my postmaster, but can still get quickly overwhelmed. Usually my postmaster might include a small number of prisms and shards. I try to masterwork stuff before those stacks get too big. I occasionally get big stacks of prisms, but almost never have big stacks of shards. Losses have been rare, but they do occasionally happen. However, the sheer quantity of useless stuff that is hurled at us can quickly overwhelm the postmaster. Grinding strikes or seasonal activities for an hour can easily lead to a full postmaster, and it is simply not fun to have to stay on top of things with DIM just to prevent the loss of higher-tier items. Sometimes it is also impractical. For instance, I don't like asking lfg teammates to wait for me to manage my postmaster before continuing an encounter - I just wait until the end and hope for the best. Some sort of protection for higher-tier items would be nice, but until then I will keep on masterworking stuff to avoid excessive losses.

1 답변I recently made a post about vault space, which blew up, and I feel your pain RE the trolls and negativity. It's laugable. Some people were born to disagree with constructive criticism, it seems. All the points you made are completely valid and, as you say, it's amazing how some people will disagree with something so simply correct. You gotta think SURELY they're trolling ;(

3 답변Literally nobody, regardless of the condition of their postmaster wants to spend even 1 second of their gaming time managing blue items that are absolutely useless garbage 99% of the time. Anybody who is arguing against this needs to seek professional mental health treatment.

Bungie just isn't smart enough to design intuitive systems. And that isn't a slight. It's just fact. They have had 7 years, and it's still the same. Either they are all dense, or they don't pay employees to think for themselves or foster an environment that rewards suggesting a better way of doing things.

2 답변I was told that d1 had a setting where you could auto shard blues...think we could get that bungie? Would solve a lot of issues.

3 답변Increase the # of high tier materials that can be stacked Increase vault space Increase the number of engrams that can be held in inventory Ability to exchange high tier materials to lower ones e.g. golf balls to 8x enhancement prisms etc Yes please

I haven't made that mistake in ages, but I hear you. I didn't read all your stuff and I certainly didn't read the trolls and egghead elites crap. Heck, I would be surprised if those ppl not understanding/streamers get an extra vault. We need to protest for more vault space. They just don't get it!
-
Hey man, I completely feel your pain. The dogmatic opinion of mine is that if people are complaining about your postmaster and vault situation, they’re ignorant. The game is at fault not you. You are completely right in every aspect here, I’ve lost so many precious things because of blue items. Considering blue items ARE NOT random rolls, they should be instantly dismantled upon collecting. It is poor game design and they probably do it on purpose to get you to play the game more. If anyone doesn’t believe me, go to the bungie grimoire and read about the ‘The Great Bungie XP Throttling Collapse’

keep in mind, in the world we live in today, people tie their own personal sense of self-worth in with politicians, stars, and in this case, game studios. so when you say something negative about their precious, they get -blam!- retentive on you and will absolutely attack you for it. just report anyone who's outright hostile and ignore the rest.

1 답변Will not solve the underlining issue. Even if implemented, next post from you would be purple gear shouldn’t be retained vs my golf balls. See the problem?
