Trials Feedback - Changes Wishlist

1. Depending on the success of Freelance Trials, keep the playlist on permanently. I imagine people -blam!- go Solo will appreciate not having to deal with three-stack fireteams nearly every match. 2. Have Flawless pool active the entire weekend. It doesn't do the health of the activity any good if Flawless fireteams get to farm players still trying to go flawless. 3. Strict bans on people who rage-quit in the middle of Trials matches. People who rage-quit do nothing but make the experience worse for the people they were matched with.

  • Even after Freelance comes out next week, the same people complaining now will start complaining about getting stomped by better solo players.

    • if number 2 ever happened, nobody would play lmao. it would turn trials into what it was last season and every season before that. nobody played trials when it was that bad

      • Just balance the teams! But I’m betting freelance will be no better with as many if not more complaints because of balance.

      • How about we fix the lobby balancing before do #3 also if you really wanted a change how about this to combat the flawless pool. Say if you get flawless on that particular card unless you reset it you don't lose it. That way more people will come back knowing that even if they lose they can still get adepts. Mind you i saw a video youtube mentioning this and i dont remember the channel name

      • Having the flawless pool active all weekend did 2 things: 1. People left the activity after going flawless because they got farmed by going flawless 2. People avoided eachother like the plague in a friend game, I am sorry but not everything is about solos. I met my friends by lfg and chance 3. You are hurting the average and below average player with the flawless pool for a participation trophy because again, nobody wants to be in that cesspool of sweat after going flawless What they have now is good

      • How about some form of reward system for being forced to play two or one v three because someone quit on you. You are now virtually guaranteed death in our current meta of one shot kill weapons, there should be a reward of some sort for not just quitting on the spot.

      • All flawless pool does is keep people from going flawless until the last minute. Not everyone will go flawless nor should they. That would defeat the purpose of having the flawless system in the game. Freelance is coming and pretty sure it’ll be perm.

Having the pool thing all weekend isn't a bad idea but there would have to be a reason for people to keep playing.

People who rage-quit do nothing but make the experience worse for the people they were matched with.[/quote] No...Hell no and yes... freelance is not needed in a playlist dependent on team play and coms.. dont wanna form a team.. sucks to suck! All starting the flawless pool does is keep average players from being able to flawless on all 3 characters.. so most just stop after there 1st.. so kills the player pool.. it also makes it so friends have to pick and choose who they play with! The top players are unaffected and the people that do Carrie's reset at 6 or are a strong team to carry through flawless... the third point I agree with if you solo cue and rage quit it should be a harsher and harsher penalty each time you do.. up and until a point you're locked out of the matchmaking for X amount of time

          • Genuinely prefer trials as it was 4 weeks ago, yeah it was easier granted, but it still provided its challenges and if you look at statistics the whole player base hasn’t been flawless so it didn’t ruin the dynamic of trials itself

            • 1. While I agree that this would make a FAR better experience for solo players, it would have the negative consequence of making fireteam enabled Trials worse than it has ever been. Yes anti-cheat is helping now, but the fact is that Trials - like any endgame/competitive PvP in ANY game - needs a healthy player pool to sustain its population. Splitting it helps the solos, but to be blunt, Trials isn’t about solo players. The point of solos is to let players TRY OUT Trials, not shift the focus to them off of fireteams. My suggestion here instead - make Freelance constantly enabled, but you CANNOT go Flawless or earn Adept loot. Or, if you can, then it needs to work on a harder system (for example, 9 wins instead of 7). This way, you give players an easier source of Trials loot and engrams. If you’ve already gone Flawless once, then you can reach seven wins in this Freelance mode, and turn in your passage for Adept weapons without ever having to face another Fireteam. The main core issue is that there HAS to be incentive for players to stay in the Fireteam pool, or it will become the largest toxic hellhole on earth once again. How bungo approaches that is obviously up for debate, that’s just my two cents on it. 2. Similar story as before, I agree with the sentiment but implementing it just isn’t going to make things better. The Flawless pool may make getting your FIRST Flawless better, but stick your neck into Trials again and it’s infinitely worse. Let me remind you of the stats - in week 2 of Trials this season, there was a drop of like 45% of the player population post-Flawless. Do you understand how terrible that is for the playlist? The Flawless pool doesn’t just make it harder for sweats. It also RUINS the experience for players who can barely make it Flawless in the first place. So, again, here’s my counterproposal. There needs to be better incentives to keep playing on a Flawless card instead of resetting and going Flawless again. And there’s ways to do this, with and without the Flawless pool. The key thing is the ability to farm Adepts. As it stands, you only get Adept weapons as a chance drop from bonus wins post-Flawless while still on a Flawless card, or by turning in your card. Both of these systems, at their core, encourage players to abandon a card once you lose post-Flawless and start over from scratch. So, my thoughts on this - make Adept weapons accessible to players once they have gone Flawless, whether they go Flawless again or not. First, make the reward structure similar to GM platinum clears - if you get additional wins on a Flawless card, you are GUARANTEED an Adept weapon every single win. Then, once your card breaks, it drops to either a 25% chance or a 50% chance on wins after hitting seven wins so long as you have gone Flawless that weekend, whether your card is Flawless or not. In this model, players are incentivized to keep playing past seven wins, whether they are on a Flawless card or not, as it is far more efficient at getting Adepts, and then you only are encouraged to turn in your card at the end of the weekend once you are done with Trials. Ideally, in this system, you don’t even have to worry about making a Flawless pool at all, since players at seven wins are separated from the rest already. Again, just my thoughts on it, but the core issue with the Flawless pool is the incentive to keep playing once you are in the pool. Give players that incentive, the Flawless pool becomes more populated, less toxic, and in an ideal world we may not even need it. 3. Completely agree. People rage quitting ruins the mode. And I would argue that AFK players deserve to be punished even worse, since they waste everyone’s time and feed super energy.

              • If we are going to have flawless mm activated on Friday, then we need to move the lighthouse and adept to a second flawless run. You can get you seven win reward that pinnacle on your first run.

                • 1 - teams will complain they are hitting teams, and use the split playerbase as an excuse. Solos will complain other solos who play 400 comp matches a day are farming them. No change next week will serve as good data to test my hypothesis! 2- nah everyone is just resetting at 6 anyways to farm easy work around from the flawless pool. They would need to remove resetting. 3- the mode needs to be reworked it’s awesome that everyone can play it now but they barley support pvp, and we have been playing trials since D1. Lol they won’t though cause and here’s the kicker “making content is hard”
