I have had this problem before, when my account first got switched over from (Battle.net) to Steam Client. I orignaly logged in (on steam profile) and found my well... everything was gone, the game made me start over from the beginning. I played the first mission to try and figure out what was going on, and you guys helped me out and retrieved the data and now (that i have come back after about a year or more of not playing) I have run into the same issue. My charcters, max'd glimmer shards exotics and fully leveled Titan, Hunter, Warlock are gone and i have this character and logged in with basic gear and a cut scene of the fallen tower of light or what ever scene where it shows the chicks brother we (as a guardian) killed the witch queen or what ever? (Looks like Exo? Female) ; (The void charcter with purplish wavy skin) and once again im stumpped as of why this is happening? Perhapse because last time when you guys first switched over my character it got sent to the wrong steam account, the one I dont use at all in fact cant even remember the password. So please help me out with this inconvienent scenerio lest I drop the game completely cause who wants to loose their hours and hours of game play reguardless if i have to [b]"Level Up"[/b] my gear again.......
