You don’t get spoils on your first run through each week. Only on extra runs will you get spoils, and only from the encounters (not the extra chests).

1st run of the week: You only get spoils from the secret chests. (Per character) 2nd run and onward: (On same character you did 1st run on) You get spoils from all encounters, secret chests are once per week per character.
