The main issues is that trial was only rewarding on week 1 since the 1st couple rank up were fast
After that it was only rewarding for people going flawless.
a lot of the changes were good on the surface but couldn't last more than a couple weeks
The flawless matchmaking is a good idea...and the fact that elitist are complaining about since they can't no longer farm people trying to go flawless is really telling on the problems the PvP has...
The trial format never really made senses...especially for a game that cant be controlled like destiny

Trials could definitely use a rank up change that evened out engram drops. At first it seems super rewarding but once you get into those higher ranks, it takes several games to progress. I played just enough today to get to the lighthouse and i only had 1 engram from saint 14. As opposed to last week where once i reached the 7th win, i had 4 or 5 engrams in the tower. Slower low ranks and faster high ranks would honestly help keep that rewarding feeling. Bungie should want players to feel, "why am i even playing this still? Im just getting stomped back to back. Oh wait, ive been stacking up loot back in the tower. Hope i get something nice." -Instead of, "why am i even playing this still? Im just getting stomped and i havent seen a rank up go by for the last 6 games. I could earn more stuff from farming x, y, or z."

Wdym by you dont like the flawless card farm? It keeps adept weapons tied behind flawless and majorly rewards people who continue to win games. Earning adept loot used to take ages; requiring you to go to the lighthouse for each 1 gun you wanted. Get a bad roll? Welp youre screwed. Time to reset your card and win another 7 matches. (Instead of just keeping your win streak going) Also, purchasing adept weapons still requires a flawless card. On top of that its incredibly expensive. 50k glimmer plus the 10k that you would need to drop on a new card. 250 shards is pretty pricey for something to farm (thats coming from someone sitting on close to 13k). You would be lucky to purchase 5 adept weapons before running back to spider. On top of those 2 points, youre still restrained by how many trials engrams you have. Even if you dont care about glimmer/shard prices, you wont be able to focus decrypt another weapon unless you have that rank up. Ps anyone who can consistently reach the 7 win requirement to grab another adept weapon should just keep going for wins. Its honestly not worth it to purchase adept weapons. Very poor trade in our favor which isnt a bad thing. Keeps it balanced by incentivizing playing instead of spending in game currencies.
